I will never for the life of me understand why people call artist who get INSPIRATION from former artist "rip-offs" or, "con artist." "There is nothing new that has been done under the sun." I say, keep re-creating music with that new school flare and inspire current generations in a way they can relate. Anyone who can take the meat of something and re-create it in a way that it's still relevant, is good in my book. It's no easy task. And honestly, half of us don't even know what Marvin Gaye, Lionel Riche or Fourplay song people are referencing in the first place!
@@makaylamickles6946 it's messed up that he cheated on her. I'd like to point out that I find it funny how love after war and gold digger our songs about conflict and being dumped yet both the artists did things similar to or exactly like what they sang about in their songs.
He released a new single 3 years ago that is gonna be on his new 8th album which is going back to his roots. Ummmm where is the album? It's been 3 years? Oh well I will be patient.
This sounds just like "After The Dance" by Marvin Gaye. This cat Robin Thicke loved him some Marvin Gaye. That's cool Robin - but pay the guy's estate for using the music. This is just faster, different words, etc.
miamiorlando1 I was just listening to Marvin Gaye's "After the Dance" and I saw one of the comments mention this son (which I'd never heard before). I wasn't sure what I'd hear but lo and behold, it definitely resembles Gaye's song. From the beginning sounds to how he introduces the song, and the entire pace from how he opens and closes between the chorus. Not cool, not cool at all.

I completely agreed plus even the greats had inspiration from someone else's music. People forget that.
I don't think it sounded anything like the song, and they were both awful.

Hate you blew it with Paula, great song though.
Give it a rest and move on like they did.

miamiorlando1 I feel his music especially this one (hated blurred lines) but you right pay if you going to use somebody shit, especially Marvin Gaye.
