@@ahmadthwayyib9660 it's really good! You can spot along half of taxiway A and the runway. Also great views from the terrace of the terminal (landside) and very close view of different parking spots from the fence around.
@@Dani1996ITA thankyou very much, I’ve been meaning to come there. Do you think it’s the right time? Also are the spots mostly accessible by public transport?
@@ahmadthwayyib9660 Best time for traffic is July-August, best time for weather I would say April-May. Yes, you can get to the main terminal with the "Volabus" from the 2 main train station of Genoa and then after spotting from the terrace of the termianl you can walk around the perimeter.
Ryanair Jokes were expected. As a pilot for that company, how much truth is there about intentional hard landings? Thank and greetings from Argentina. Great video as always!
I'm not a pilot, but another Ryanair pilot once said they do touch down harder on purpose sometimes to get it on the ground fast and use less runway to make the first or earliest taxiway possible in order to save time during taxi. Depends on the airport, runway used and where the gate is in relation to the runway.
Hard touchdowns are more intentional than we think, and not only in Ryanair. The reason is that, during the touchdown, the aircraft has a better contact with the runway, in case of wet conditions. A wet runway may lead in an aquaplaning , which is very dangerous. In this way, pilots land the aircraft safely, even if this may affect the passengers comfort. In this video, for exemple, the runway at LIMJ seems to be not completely dry, so this may explain why the PF (pilot flying) made a such hard touchdown.
They were already cleared to land at 11:00. The pilot just confirmed with tower that they were on short final, to which tower confirmed the landing clearance for the second time, so a verbal acknowledgement wasn't really necessary.
A "circling approach...with circling". Wow - who would've thought. I always thought circling approaches were straight-in, or that ILS / RWY aligned approaches were circling. Next we'll be mentioning that climbing comes with a gain in altitude! A little more flare would be nice too.
barely any flare! If there was slight flare at 20 agl would have been smoother but to be honest sometimes pilots do firm landing just to be sure they are not going to float on a short runway.
True but LIMJ runway it’s 2916m which is quite long (747 and Antonov 124 land here often), I think they don’t want to risk going around because they will have start again this long approach
Almost every airport has circle to land , but for traffic sequencing it's easier to do straight in approach. Also circle to land minimums are quie high ( like 900 or 1000ft aal )
The camera was shaking about BECAUSE the landing was so bad! Irish and British Ryanair pilots are a different class. From looking at other videos on this channel, these Polish crews aren't always too professional, don't take things seriously. See the video of the take off during abysmal weather conditions and where the gear fails to retract as 'someone' left the manual retraction door open, behind the FO's seat - the F/O giggles constantly during a high stress take off. Poor.
Hard landing curvas ! Break , break , break. ! Amazing scenery thou , thank you for video , you could do better next time by adjusting the camera for a better angle view. ! 😌
I've benn waiting for soo long to see this approach on YT! This is my home airport and where I'm taking my PPL. Thank you for posting
Our pleasure!
Hey, how good is Genoa for plane spotting

Did anybody feel the earth move with that landing.
Set off the seismographs in Frisco!!
wow il mio aereoporto io sono di genova!!!
Kind of a rough landing, there, el capitan! Beautiful approach, though..
That was such a hard landing
Awesome video
They're talking in my language (Polish). At 11:45 it was ,,We are a bit to close", followed by ,,We are a bit to high".
Awesome video!
Thanks!
yo yo yo here before it starts!
I can't remember the last time I've seen a video of a 737 with Honeywell avionics. I'm guessing this was a -600/700 variant.
Nice video!
Some 800-s have old mcp
"Ladies and gentlemen, as soon as you pick up all of the luggage from the overhead compartments, you may de-plane!"

Ryanair are kinda cheap so they will fly to the most random airports that are often short so they need to stop quicker
Just been to genoa from manchester going there the landing was a little rough coming back to manchester it felt smoother with ryanair also
14:00 oof
Good firm landing.
Very nice!
13:35 did he acknowledge the landing clearance only by clicking the mic?

Hej, a ja myślałem, że takie aprołcze to tylko w simie do Ira haha. Fajnje zobaczyć na żywca, pozdro!
deleted the same vid with coldplay paradise playing :( pls repost
I don't understand why don't disconnect and fly manually instead of dialing v/s back and forth.
Well, at least the flight was smooth.
Ryanair liked this video
Did you land or were you shot down? :'D
FUn approach even in FSX sim.! NIce video!

Super :) Latacie teraz ?
Nice vid! I think you mean that the cloud base should be *above* the minimums for circling, right?
Sideways Landing. No crosswind slip used. Rattles all systems..
Ouch on the landing
First time I see a landing on 10
Of-course a hard landing
I'm curious as to why the landing gear went down so early.
@蕭子傑 Also you want the gear down early on a circle approach so everything is sorted before you do the difficult approach maneouvres.
Both replies are correct :)
In order to use the CAT C circling minima, the 737-800 must flown with gear down and flap 15 to qualify.
Ohh, check the flaps indicator, upps only 30 degrees ?
40 :
More noise
More fuel
Worse handling

Looks like a Ryanair Landing.

Polish pilots 😍👌
What is that whirring sound from?
It's the Giro in the standby ADI; the older ones are analogue.
Everyone in the cabin cursing you for this "landing".
Never ever saw a pilot turning the switches as much as this guy. Landing was an earthquake starter.
Circle to land is usually done with autopilot so....
Wish we could hear you guys and ATC and not just engine and trim noise. Still love the videos!!!!!
Is that Ryanair flight ?
I’m sure even your monitor shook with that landing. Who else would it be?
Old style MCP - I prefer to newer one personally.
Think the landing looked worse than what it was because of the camera shaking about.

Typical landing in ryanair 😹
