The whole 'dead on the ground' aesthetic was a creative way of continuing filming after a noise complaint that threatened to end the shoot. 'Trustfall' is for me the quintessential song of theirs. It's at once beautiful and brutal, shows off the meshing of Mike's distinctive guitar playing and Courtneys gift for a melody that burrows into your brain and the vocal arrangement is frankly ridiculously good.
They just released a live one take of her vocals of Rule of Nines last night... it, and the others they have released will show the effort put into the screams...Great reaction!

The name Spiritbox comes from a device that supposedly captures the voices of ghosts and the paranormal. The band uses noises from that device in most of their videos as background noise. Quite a few of the songs they write are inspired by the occult as well.
Courtney the singer and Michael the guitarist are married and used to be in the band iwrestledabearonce. You should check them out. They're kinda mathcore/metalcore. You also need to see Holy Roller, Spiritbox's newest video.

You guys should react to "The Mara Effect Live at Silverside Sound." It's 16-minutes long... but you'll wish it was longer. She's "facially relaxed" when she's really doing it. Nothing turns me off more than candy-ass, emo cleans in the middle of heavy, violent music. It's so difficult to find a metal band which maintains that hard, aggressive energy from start to finish.
