    Your video is plain, simple and straight to the point. Assemble and made my first cut today. Could not have done it without your video. Many thanks, and best.

    👍👍 I liked your video right up to the point where you Didn't use a push stick/block of some kind. But they're your fingers 🤕 🤷
    Think I'll be buying this saw ☺️

    What happened when it stopped in middle …? Is that all you needed to cut? Also you did not use a push stick and hands close to blade? Do you have any with example of using push stick with pieces and when not to use push stick but maybe a gripper push tool.

      Ya might want to sell the condo and get a house if ya want to take up woodworking and use this, lol. It's loud of course, but hey, they'll have to live with it if you're putting in floors or something.

      @@stevekonbass Oh no I was thinking of just cutting up some wood to work on some kumiko as a hobby. This might be too extreme for me, but all the smaller ones on Amazon that looks like they would run quiet also looks like they would struggle to run in general lol 🤷

    The turning wheel used to raise my blade is not working properly. It seems that the plastic gears just don't catch. This is out of the box unused. Any easy fixes before I return it? Thanks!

    • @stevekonbass
      @stevekonbass  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm... something doesn't sound right there to me. I'd maybe try to change the angle of the blade a few times... make sure I'm turning the wheel the right way... locking the blade in position... good luck.

    • @chadcampagna9169
      @chadcampagna9169 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stevekonbass Thanks for the advice. It almost seems like the gears won't sync up together. The bottom will move if I force it, which I did not do more than once. It almost feels like the other part is locked, but I know the lever to lock is only for moving the angle.

    • @stevekonbass
      @stevekonbass  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I took a look at mine and see your point with the gears. The blade should move up and down smoothly.

    • @chadcampagna9169
      @chadcampagna9169 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stevekonbass I believe that the gear that moves the vertical bolt is stuck, for whatever reason. I am thinking maybe some WD-40 in the areas that rub with other metal might break it loose and it should work fine. But I don't know another way to knock it lose if that doesn't work.

    Great video. The directions that came with Tess was difficult for me to see and your video helped me immensely and putting the table together. Thank you!
    When I took everything out of the box I didn’t see the kick back Guard that goes on the back of the saw. Is this something that will cause me issues if I don’t have a kickback card?

    • @stevekonbass
      @stevekonbass  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad the video was a help Laura. Not having the kickback won't affect the operation of the table saw, just best to be careful that the piece you're cutting doesn't bind on the blade and kick back. I actually use the saw without the blade guard and kickback. I question why the kickback wasn't in the box. I'd check to see if there are any signs that it was used.

    I know you made this video over a year ago and was wondering how the tablesaw is holding up and how often have you been using it?

    • @stevekonbass
      @stevekonbass  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was worth the money for me and holding up fine. I did 3 lvp floors, a deck project, and a few other home improvements ripping down 2x6 pine or PT and 1/4" paneling. I just use it for my own home improvements so it already paid for itself. I used it on these projects... Breakfast Bar/Pass Through: th-cam.com/video/_suULiA2LZY/w-d-xo.html ...Crawlspace Door: th-cam.com/video/fqUpcO0kh30/w-d-xo.html ...Kitchen Island: th-cam.com/video/G7WtyT2Pv6E/w-d-xo.html ...I wouldn't have been able to do those jobs without it and renting one would've cost more money.

    Nice video. I hear about the blade lowering by itself with each cut due to no locking mechanism. Did you find this to be true?

    • @stevekonbass
      @stevekonbass  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I haven't Glenn. I've used it on a flooring job so far but didn't notice anything. I'll keep it in mind though and if I notice it lowering I'll put a note in the description box.

      Thanks brother. Let me know how that blade cuts the laminate for you. I put down that LVP (luxury vinyl planks) and used the blade that came with it. Worked good and no issues. I've been using the Craftsman table saw a lot lately to rip plywood, pine boards, etc. So far it's been working good and no issues. Time will tell if it lasts as long as all of my other Craftsman tools.
