More than 6 months have passed since this amazing journey. I wish we could see a Season 2 of the PokeMMO Nuzlocke on another region. Would say Hoenn or Unova to be next and not Sinnoh because is the hardest of all regions to nuzlocke in my experience.

@@patrouski also as you say, RNG definitely evens out. My first shiny was around 70/80k encounters, then Tangela was 53k, then Marowak was 10.5k and Axew was 10.9k, so it definitely evened out
I would argue that Krabby could be a really good physical dmg dealer overall. Movepool is solid , one of the best phys dmg dealers you'll prob get in a nuzlocke. I've won a few base nuzlockes with a lucky krabby pull. You can make up shortcomings with items as well normally, its not amazing, but nuzlockes you take what's strongest and morph it to work.
This would be helpful :) (I got wiped at 7th gym heheheh with 21 in game hours ouch) However I dont have no ev target clause, I ev train my pokemons with transferring them to my main acc and purposefully training multiple pokemons in low level ev hordes so that I can get maximum EVs. Yes this is abusive but I'm playing a hardcore nuzlocke (no items, no overlevelling over gym leaders highest level Pokemon) and this is my first ever nuzlocke run. So I guess this plays out. To my understanding a nuzkocke rules also included not over leveling the gym leader, and no healing/battle items, held items fine of course. Since when did those become soley the hardcore varient? Im not trying to hate or take anything away especially from a made up for fun/challenging mode, but watching you heal mid battle at the trainer before brock in his gym kinda turned me off from wanting to watch the rest of this. If you allow healing mid battles, what stopping you from heal stalling with them or anything?
Look up the original forum post that nuzlockes are derived from. Nothing is ever said about no items in battle, that was a community rule added years later.
If You were to do this again, what would You change ? I personally would use every tool available to skip the grind of leveling Pokemon up since i only care about the challenge of overcoming trainer battles within the context of the limitations of a Nuzlocke run.
Maybe a you can buy copies if higher level pokemin on the gtl but you can't get positive nature's if you didn't already have 1, and can't get higher iv total (or 1 fully ev trained)
It took around 140 hours to make this video, thats including the 40 hours of gameplay, 10 hours of planning/routing, 50-60 hours of editing and then double exporting which took 14 hours each and then a 8-10 hour upload.
To some extent but it really goes MUCH further then that with gen7/8 movepools, items, all trainers pokemon have 6x31 IVs, etc. PokeMMO is truly its OWN pokemon game.
I finally found the strenght to leave sinnoh and go finish the others. I was at 5ft gym in kanto and now im at the victory road, I just need to train a team back in sinnoh and im done with kanto for now. I just want to be free to run around with all my pokemons without the level cap

How do you handle swarms? Say there's a Kricketot swarm on route 2 and you haven't had your encounter there yet and you really want Kricketot for some reason. Can you just catch it as your route 2 encounter or would you ignore the swarm regardless?
This is a great question especially since swarms have been changed a little mechanically in terms of how you hear about them, my initial rule was that i was allowed to catch a swarm pokemon as long as i didn't hear about it from chat or someone else, if i happened to stumble upon a swarm along my normal gameplay, 1 pokemon per swarm. But now they show on the map as well which makes it harder for that to happen. Honestly i think choosing to allow swarms or not could be up to personal interpretation, maybe 1 swarm encounter per nuzlocke could be an option?
ive never played radical red so im not sure, what ill say is that PokeMMO is much harder than traditional pokemon, but most crazy rom hacks are more difficult than pokemmo, PokeMMO acts as this perfect middle ground difficulty in my opinion.
Im currently doing a hardcore Nuzlocke with a friend so no healing or items in battle but we can buy ITEMS from GTL, just not pokemon. I think allowing items from GTL makes sense because a lot of trainers in this game have held items so so should you. Plus you can buy exp candies which is like Nuzlockers using rare candies so the grinding isnt as tedious because grinding should not be the main focus of a Nuzlocke.

Pokemmo nuzlocke is fun but its too easy with items allowed in battle, now pokemmo nuzlocke Hardcore no items allowed in battle is where it gets fun every move and switch becomes crucial and those surprise crits can devastate your run ive failed about 28 Hardcore nuzlocke pokemmo runs between Kanto and Hoenn furthest ive gotten in Kanto in 8th gym giovanni i lost too many against blaine and couldnt recover, nearly as far in Hoenn i can get past the 7th gym but that double battles is so devastating the team magma battle right after where your force to team with steven destroys whatever i have left

Not to gatekeep too hard and I respect anyone making whatever rules they want, but you lost me when you were 4 levels over the first gym. When you say nuzlocke, it is assumed that there is permadeath, but also that you cannot exceed the gym leaders top level. I found it very weird you felt it necessary to create a rule keeping yourself from intentionally ev training, but then and over level anyways. But you do you my man
Like you say you do you. Personally I don’t think there should be any items used besides held items or utility such as repels and stuff like that. Any healing or x items is cheating in my opinion. But each nuzlocke is different and there are no set rules so I cannot fault him. It is good content I enjoyed the run!
