Pretty much every Brahmin I know thinks that they are special and the top of the top, having gained birth in a brahmin family after 84 lakh births. This delusion of among many other factors pushes them to look for brides and grooms only in the brahmin caste. This superiority complex and the tendency to ensure that the generational wealth and the "pure bloodline" is conserved, are some of the reasons why casteism still exists today. Anecdote aside, a widespread caste survey could easily pull off the lid from the details about wealth distribution among castes, intercaste marriages, the representation of savarnas, especially brahmins, in positions of power be it in the Indian government jobs or in the private ones etc. But it is not surprising why it is the savarnas and hindu organisations that are against as if they want to hide something. If they really have the best of intents, then they shuold support a caste-census, but they don't. Thus, your presentation seems to be pretty dishonest. Makes me even wonder why casteist mentality is being transported to USA by some. Please don't defend the indefensible. Thanks.

Your argument does not make sense. You are saying that brahmins feel they are special. This is something done by every community. Ex- muslims feel they are the only right religion and that everybody else is the worst of creatures (this is written in their quran). I can show you people discriminating based on ethnicity like a gujrati or a tamilian will not like people from u.p or bihar. So what are you exactly trying to say?

The gujratis or tamils will claim superiority from qualities and accomplishments of thier people not by birth...islam is an ideology and its superiority comes from believing but the brahmin superiority comes from birth...so dont compare without knowing@@akshitraj1019
