He was in the Brazilian army when he was younger.
Dan was in the Brazilian army so that's probably where he got the camouflage jacket. But he wasn't nearly so, um, masculine then, and I'm not sure how his current bicepts could fit into it. Hmmm. Let me ponder that with you for a moment. 😮😊 Great song, of course. He again manipulated his voice to sound more like the original. He's so great at doing that! Talent oozes from this guy! Oh My Days! Have to agree on Dans delicious masculinity! He oozes it in his songs, and when he's just talking in his videos, podcasts, etc. It doesn't hurt either that he is absolutely gorgeous to look at! Yah- that ponytail ❤
Sabaton seems to specialize in war antherns, from the crusades to the world wars. We all know that nobedy does anthems like Dan Vasc, but we can give a tip of the hat to Sabaton for creating the base material.
Lol they have 0 songs about Crusaders, also Sabaton is much better in anthems than him, they basically made anthem after anthem that makes you fell patriotic for totally different country

This was just before the Wars of Religion started in earnest, but after Luther issued the challenge, and Charles V's army was full of protestants. If they held the pope to ransom, it would have been ugly.

That's his actual military wear from when he served in the Brazilian army. Sabaton is known for historical metal - their songs are all about military history; that's why Dan is so focused. A Dan/Tommy collab would be so freaking EPIC! May it actually happen sometime!

Tommy plays guitar in sabaton, dan sings this so powerful and strong as dan always does. That is dans military jacket as he served 2 years.

I have no new words for Dan’s incredible voice, range, etc, but I love the ponytail- the way it moves. It seems he uses his hair in his performances. Not meaning to diminish that amazing range in his voice, but damn, he’s easy to look at and watch-Just sayin. Lol Go Dan Go !!!❤❤❤❤❤
Sabaton write sings about true, historic military subjects, so this song is serious...about the Swiss Guard defending the Vatican/Pope in 1527. So I appreciate that DV was respectful w his cover. I hope you try out some Sabaton! I recommend their original video for Christmas Truce. The singer in Sabaton is Joakim Broden...he has unique, gritty voice that just IS Sabaton! Tommy sings backing vocals along w bandmates, Chris and Par...they create a big, full vocal sound, and the band is excellent live!!
Chances of Tommy and Dan singing together is less than zero, sorry to say.

Tommy is one of the lead guitars for quite awhile. He looks younger in these recent covers. I know Sabaton has been on tour but hiatus now. You would enjoy some of the non song videos at Sabaton to see what a character he is. But…..Dan is my man!!!

I always enjoy looking up the songs Dan sings if unfamiliar with them, this being one of them. He does such an awesome job staying true to the song yet making it his own. Love the energy he puts into them. Once again enjoyed your reaction.
Joakim Brodén is the lead vocalist of Sabaton. Dan Vasc is copying Joakim Brodéns dialect and he nails his voice.
Tommy Johansson founded the band ReinXeed together with a few musicians, to be the lead singer of this band, but after a few demo recordings the other members turned away from the group. Johansson continued to lead the "group" under the pseudonym Tommy ReinXeed.

I actually hate to say this, but you can hear, not this song, but at least one other song that Karla Bessa has on her channel (just search for her), in which she has pasted Dan on one side and Tommy on another side, to see how they sound together. The results are a bit strange. Personally, because I don't know a lot about Karla, or why she's using Dan's music and that of others all throughout her channel, with nothing original of her own...just digitally-changed videos from other people. They're pretty good quality, but...
I do know that Dan gives full permission to anyone who wants to use his videos, anywhere, so there is that. Do the others? I have no clue.
I also don't like that Karla loves to use lots and lots of Dan photos, in all sorts of other compilations. For instance, she took his voice recording of "Pour Some Sugar On Me," then used a bunch of photos that she got from who knows where (some are familiar to me, and others aren't but I didn't check through all of his old Facebook or Instagram stuff--I suspect most of them have come from there), to create a completely different feeling to Dan's recorded vocal track, that he illustrated with HIMSELF, LIVE, on his own channel.
I know that that had to be where you got your copy of Dan's "Sleeping Sun," for that reaction, since it no longer seems to be on Dan's channel. It's in the Topic channel (the automated one by YT), which is audio only. I don't mean to be critical about that. I imagine there was a good reason for her to have it over there, probably with his blessing.
I can only speak for Tommy but I have never seen him stop a video with him in it, but thats his nature and love having fun and loves all his fans and talk to us every friday when he release a new cover, he is supernice and a force of nature. And have both feet on the ground as a superstar.@@Lydelith
