Just want to add, Trello is a free service! You do not need to buy a membership/subscription although they do have additional options if you want. I use the free version because I'm cheap like that. 😁😜❤️

This looks both really cool and really overwhelming! Lol! (Maybe learning new things always overwhelms at first) I plan my future ideas in the notes app on my phone, but it is hard to organize by category if I don’t stay on top of it. Hmmm…. @@SummerMeyers I downloaded the app a few years ago and tried to tinker with it and gave up. It looks like it’s much easier to create it on the computer and then manage it on the app? So I may have to try it that way and see how easy it is to add all my future plans throughout the year. I haVE WAY TOO MANY ideas every year!! 😂

Lol, but seriously you are my hero 😁 Yes, I am giving it a go. I ended up getting sick with covid so I used some of my downtime to set it up! Make lemonade out of lemons right?! It took me a little bit. I had to watch both of your videos a couple of times. So thank you for holding my hand and talking me through all that LOL. I think it is going to be great I just have to get into the habit of jumping on my phone and scooting things over. I think what has taken me the longest is putting in the lessons and things we plan to do. The ones that are more than just lesson 1 lesson 2 you know what I'm saying. But I will get the hang of it and I think it will be much better than the ways I've been trying to do it. So thanks again! I watched another one of your videos recently and you were mentioning wanting to do all the things and that's where I am too. When I lay it all out on Trello I can really see that. I'm trying to do too much. I keep trying to remind myself to keep it simple and just enjoy this time. We just want the best for our kids but sometimes we get a little mixed up about what they need the most. I've read a lot of parenting books and watched a lot of parenting videos. And I think that what it really comes down to, what kids really want is just your time. So I'm trying to do more of that and less of the checklists! Ehh, it's definitely a work in progress 😆 but getting the hang of Trello will definitely help with the record keeping part of things. Baby steps!
That's a really great point! After laying out my Trello board it makes it clear that I've gone a little overboard. 😅 That's such a good reminder that our kids really just want our time! They don't really want all the extra stuff. We didn't sign up to homeschool so that we could pack our schedule in. We did it to slow down and be together. Thank you for saying that! I use notion. It is very similar if you use the board setting, it’s also very wide open because it has so much customization that you can do. I actually love notion. I’ve only used it since about April so right before the end of last “school year” and this year, but so far it is so useful. I also use notion as a personal planner for myself.

It is so wide open that you can get caught up on that end of things. you essentially can create it to look however you want. It is more database focused so you essentially work on that and can build multiples to cross reference or link together to form different views. Its a rabbit hole, I guess if you are happy with trello and it works for you why switch. I honestly feel like after learning notion and spending the time with set up im not interested yet in trying to learn a new one lol. ( not to mention I still do not know even close to everything about notion)
I can understand that! Planners are kind of like curriculum--there's growing pains when switching to a different one and it takes a minute to figure it out. ❤️

Nope! Trello is free to use! There is a subscription if you have multiple boards and team members, but the free version is what I use and gives you plenty of stuff to work with.
I love how organized and pretty your trello board looks! Mine is much more simple 😄. How do you print your completed trello board? I haven't done anything with my 2 years worth of completed work.
A fellow Trello user!! ❤️🥰 There's a power up called print cards that you can use. It's a bit finicky, but it works pretty well getting all my stuff hard copy at the end of the year. How do you have your board setup? I'd love to hear thoughts about making it more streamlined! ❤️
@@SummerMeyers I was thinking about combining my completed list and the plan list. I get behind because I don't get on my phone or computer enough to check everything off and move everything over. So if I put everything under the completed list and then when I get around to it I can check the boxes in the individual subjects and fill in the details in the other boxes or archive those cards if we didn't do it that day or just move it around. I don't know I'm thinking about it 😁
