      It's not that guy wasn't equally exerting force and cracking the rock on both side he blew out the surface before the the crack worked it's way down but also some rocks have weak spot in them that causes that

      softer stone cut with metal wire. the pyramids would have been made this way, the blocks pulled with lots of long logs underneath and strong rope attached with dozens of men pulling on the other side. to make rooms inside they would have filled the rooms up with sand or something so the stones could be dragged over and placed before moving up a layer. its not that difficult...

      Jamie dyer. You cant cut granite with wire and I've never heard the theory before that involved wire. How did they make this wire?
      What is the wire made of?
      There are much more plausible theories these days like concrete. You cant pull a 200 tone stone up hill with men, string and sticks. By the way they used a lot of materials and you cant something is a fact if you can disprove it somewhere else.

      It does not work as well on soft or stones with lots of seams. In general. The harder and more brittle the rock the better.
