Got some nice looking gold 💪👍
Thanks 👍
Good day Alan , I'm commenter 101. Good to see you out there again hitting up the dirt.
Hello there Lloyd Hope all is well up there and I hope you have been able to get out as well.
@@alanrobertson2510 I've been lucky to get out frequently and get fresh air , there's nothing like the woods to keep a mind sharp and the lungs breathing well.
you know i think ik exactly where this is. did it just get reclaimed about 2 years ago kind of right below the cc divide? dont want to give away any secret spots but it looks like a place i used to ride side by sides until they reclaimed it.
Loved the video, looks like a lot of work, but it pays off.
It is! Thanks
Wheres the metal detector?
At home
Alan , it looks like your capturing all your gold at the top , trust your mats... up your angle and water flow and get that material thru twice as fast and reduce the amount of cons your panning ... just a thought ... those mats really catch the gold
Gold to Ya !
Twice the dirt , Twice the gold ?
Thanks Frank thanks for thew tips I think I will bring up my extinction next time with the dirty water up there,
Well what do you know --gold runs up hill LOL Fun video David out
Up there it sure does.
Are you on your own claim?
My wife and I are making our first trip to prospect Montana in August (our 33rd anniversary!).
Do you have any suggestions where we might go to have a bit of fun finding some color without claim jumping anyone?
This is a club claim if you would like to visit we have a outing on the 15th of August.
@@alanrobertson2510
Thanks for the invite Alan.
Unfortunately, we'll be on our way home by then.
Maybe next year though.....
We're going to try the Boulder area this time.
We purchased a field guide to prospecting in western Montana and I will examine what it has to say about the area I believe you to be in around Kalispell that I gathered from one of your commenters.
Hope to meet you.
@@wesolint Have a good time on your trip. I don't know much about the bolder area Helena is about as far east as I get. Take care.
@@alanrobertson2510
It's just south of Helena on I-15 - about a 40 minute drive according to google. We'll be staying in Helena as I'm also a huge train fan.
@@wesolint If you are in Helena Try and visit the Blue Jewel Mine it's always a great day. Lots of gold around Helena.
Looks like gold in the pan
There sure was thanks
If you took a few of the longer logs on the ground next to the creek to build yourself a bridge it wouldn't have been as difficult to get to your mining spot.I've repaired trails and built creek crossing for myself on NF.As long as you use old deadfalls and the gravel thats right there I have never been cited or given any trouble from the rangers.
The FS said we could build a bridge. They say it will be in by the end of the month. We shall see if they end up doing it.
Libby Creek is calling me i still remember the wolves and the bear while i was running the sluce. make a ton of noise and hope they go away ... welcome to Montana . lmao
Yep sounds like Montana. We always go loaded in case of the bears.
How do you get your real fine gold out of the black sand
Alan is the silicone mat Master. Check out his older stuff. He's a good shitt
Thanks Mark
This time with a pan the black sand is not to bad up on the hill.
It's creek not crick.
Depends where you're from...
@@keithsparling5537 it's always creek!!!!
@@slimpikens I looked it up! Crick us a variant of creek, regional laguage, like slang.
I watch Dan Hurd and Pauly from British Columbia and Shane from gleshl guitars from Australia and now have added you.
Thanks you I appreciate that.
Here i was thinking you’d be high and dry but .... NOT!!!!! Nice work ✅✅🍻🍻✌️
Thanks it was worth the hike.
A day in the crick is better than a kick in the... shorts
It sure is Thanks Jeremy.
Enjoyed your video. Nice and easy to listen too. Like the way you tell how you do your gold looking. Thks for everything you share
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Brutal hike thx forest service...great being outdoors and a little gold to boot well done 👍🏻
Yes no thanks to the FS that bridge was supposed to be in last fall.
Mats are so good now dont need the bucket trommel! Good to see ya back on the hill Alan
Hi Mark. I hope to pack up the bucket trommel this week and give it a try.
Hey Alan, that looks like a pretty good spot you're on. Nice pickers !! How far do you think to bedrock ? Just wondering if you're only scratching the surface ? I can't believe you ran three wheel barrels of dirt in that 27 gallon tub. Must be low clay content compared to your other spot ? Need a sand filter attached to it. Lol ! Good to see you out there ! Keep digging and good luck my friend !
In that spot it's about 10 feet to bed rock this ground has bee turned upside down but with so much clay the gold doesn't travel to for down. The sand filter would be a good improvement I might have to make one when the get the bridge back in. Take care.
@@alanrobertson2510 I've made an improvement to the sand filter. Placing sand in nylon brewing bags. Makes it easy to lift out of tub and dunk in bucket to clean. Each bag has 20lbs sand. You can also have several bags, so you can replace on the fly and keep digging. Bought on Amazon. 26"x 31" 60 mesh nylon bags, 2 for $15. Can be reused many times. Will feature in up coming video.
Hi Alan. Good exercise activity. Always good to see you.
Yes, thanks
great video fam. nice AU . keep up the work. GOLD SQUAD OUT!!!
Thanks for the visit
Great job Alan.
Many thanks!
Great video as usual nice bits of gold
Glad you enjoyed Thanks.
Glad to see you're still at it! I wish I lived a bit closer! The Bitterroot doesn't have much.
Your right not much in the Bitterroot. There is some on the other side of the pass.
Great job Alan, that’s a great day 😁🤙
Thanks 👍
Awesome video. Love them. I love home built creations. That's how most of my stuff is!
That is awesome! Thanks for watching.
Real nice Alan! Great area to spend some time, get out in nature, and find some GOLD! Cheers and HH, Aaron
You got that right! Thanks Aaron
Great video alan always good to see you out in the field
Absolutely nice to be out. Thanks Dave.
interesting video nice gold, keep them coming
Thanks, will do!
Always a treat big al ..😁
Thanks Rick.
Great video Alan =)
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like a good day, I wish there was gold like that in Oklahoma
Thanks for watching Mike.
There is... the gold is in the dirt they laid as road base one stretch of Hwy over a million in gold cost more to dig it up and repave Hwy. Lmao my buddy says the same thing about us here in Texas. i told him where do you think our native Americans found gold and silver to make jewelry . they find gold in the Llano River. Texas is 90% private land . told my other rancher buddy you have black sands iron all over your 980 acers you will have gold here too he laughed grandmas sold the minerals to oil company if i dig up anything im stealing belongs to oil company
Alan, it sounds like I need to box up some stuff and ship it off to Big Sky Country for you to play with and make those wonderful next generation mats with. Maybe you could gather up some logs and make your own bridge to cross that stream so it would be easier to get your equipment over? OR, a cable pulley-n-basket to get your stuff across and keep it dry? We all miss your videos, God bless and may He keep you & family safe-n-happy!
Yes we where going to build a bridge but the FS promised the new bridge would be in by September If not we will build one in the spring.
Very interesting set up. ✅My friend that is a lot of equipment to haul that far. 🤔😒Do you leave your equipment for the next day? Nice color. Thanks for sharing.😎👍👍👌👌⛏⛏
If I was going to be back I would leave some stuff on the hill but I am just not that trusting. I think it was worth the haul.
Looks great !
Just need an old knucklehead there to help you .
But it sounded like you had help there with !
Thanks I did end up with a little help on the last hill.
Well, best of luck these days getting the forestry to get the bridge back in any time soon. Well the wade across the river seemed to be the right choice
It was worth the haul up the hill. I will believe the FS when I am driving across that bridge. Lol
We are finally moved in and getting established in Kalispell. Not sure how to get in direct contact with you so we can go out digging and detecting👍🏻
Hi Mark my email will work. moldsandmats@gmail
Haha first to watch your video great job glad to see you out there!
Awesome! Thank you!
And I thought flower gold wizard was the only guy that sounded funny when he said creek 😂
Ha Ha! thanks for watching.
Yup we say crick. Northern Wisconsin here
Those are some decent sized 'lil nuggies'. Do think your finding old glacier gold or is it placer from a more current source?
Placer deposit there are several lode mines in the area as well.
As much as I enjoy your videos, be careful crossing those logs & creeks! Great upload! I like that wheel barrow classifier!
Thanks! Will do! Only stumbled a few times. Lol
are from the the U.P. of MICH.? you sound like you could fit right in,, thats some nice gold ya found,, cant wait till the next adventure
No I am not I am from the west. Thanks for watching.
And yeah, you're gonna get wet!😉⛏🇺🇸
For sure.
Considering how little dirt you ran and how much gold you got awesome man! That spot didn’t even look like a prime spot but you got some pickers! Very nice!
I cant wait for the Miller table video. I’ve watched piles of fine gold recovery videos and UtahAvalanches deep well Miller table look like the one to beat. In my humble opinion. I do love watching the blue bowl work, but $ for $, his table seems to work amazingly well. I finally have all the materials to make my own so if I ever get some free time, I’ll try it.
That hill has gold all over it you just need to run some dirt. Some guy a few years ago found a 1/2 ounce nugget it that spot so I think I will see if it has a brother. Utah's miller table is going to hard to beat good luck on making yours.
