Great video of installation i would like to do this to my Grom as well. I was wondering where did you get those tires i want some like the but a different color for the white walls.
i just got my 23’ SP Grom about a week ago and i accidentally downshifted to 1st gear from 4th (thinking i was in 3rd) going around 28mph all i seen was it be red lined to the max and then i quickly shifted back up to second. What do you think would be damaged after that? It still runs smoothly the gears change smoothly and downshift smoothly so i don’t know if i should be concerned about it or not.
Thanks for showing this. I’ve been looking for ages to see someone share how to lower the rear without using a ‘stretch’ kit. For me it’s mainly for the look and as someone with 0 bike wrenching experience this looks relatively easy to do. Nice one 👍👏👏👏😎
I love it! I haven’t lowered my 22’ SP but I also have never really thought about it. I would definitely check it out but it would inevitably force me to redo the front suspension. I’m sure I would if I already had a step in that direction 😉 Did you get rid of the 2 stroke racing bike?
Still working on the NSR50R, there was a really quick glimpse of it in the video above. I have one last water pump issue I'm working through and it should be on the track. Stay tuned!
Loving the build man. I picked up a 23 grom recently, drove 2hrs to pick it up and loaded it into my fit. As someone that is vertically challeged, I've been eyeballing exactly this. I ordered a lower seating seat on ebay and it helped but I still can't flatfoot. Help me out yo
I installed this lowering link finally thanks again .. I was wondering though when it comes to dropping the front forks can you just unloosen the 3 bolts on each fork and drop it and inch or two like that or is the lowering kit needed ?
Im about the same height as you and while I never really struggled with the bikes height by any means, once i added a 2.5 lowering link it feels way more comfortable and honestly i love the way the bike looks now. I was gonna lower the front too but will probably just leave it. Great video man!
maaaan, great vid as usual! keep them coming! Might think of lowering in the future, but still have a lot of the build to do before actually following through most likely. thanks for the vid!
Great install Video!! Been considering this same drop height for my wife as well on my grom. glad I found this as there really are not many videos that show stock-length swing arm and this level drop. How much did it lower it overall?
I ordered this 2 weeks ago and it works great. I flat foot the bike just fine with the stock height but I find it more comfortable to ride after lowering it. 2.5 is not much and won’t mess with your steering in the front. Maybe 4.5 and a stretch than yes you would need to lower the front too. Thanks for all your videos they are really hopeful.
Very informative vid, my 13 year old sister would really benefited from a kit like this so I can teach her how to ride a bike before she gets her license 😀😀
Great video as always! Nothing but good content and knowledge out to you.. hope I win please 🙏🏽
Congrats, you won the lowering kit. DM me on IG @eastcoastish or email me: kent@eastcoastish.com

They are the Michelin PowerPure tires. The decals on them are from tirestickers.com

If it still runs fine you’re probably good to go. I’ve done it a few times myself.
@@eastcoastish THANK YOU, i’ve done 100+ miles after that and it’s running still without issues so i hope it is alright. Thank you for the response!

Do you have to stretch the bike too if you just put 2.5 lowering kit on ?
I’m not running a stretch kit, just lowered.
Nice video
I love it
Easy peasy. My buddy has been thinking about lowering his Grom so I'd be interested so if I win I can give it to him

As always, great install video.
I think my sister would benefit from this and that 2" fork drop you mentioned. She also is on her toes with her Grom.

you can only slide the forks up a couple of MM because of the taper in the fork legs.
