How do you like doing the heavy haul? I just got my year in about 2 months ago and went with a new company. Before they flew me out to orientation they offered me dedicated regional dryvan and regional heavy hauler. I chose dedicated dryvan but I'm just curious about the heavy haul.
Buddy I've been driving reefer 2 years and dry van 3 1/2 I just got into flatbed last week and completed training now I'm off with a trainer next week, I wish I would've done flatbed when I first start this shiiiii fun!!
@Hanif Sa'id the main reason I haven't tried flatbed yet is because I'm only willing to do regional runs, not OTR and I live in the Northeast.. so.. lots of snow every year lol
I got three examples that would alter what they're paid . 1 South georgia hotshot owns their truck/trailer and runs their own authority 2 Super trucker dan owns the truck/trailer but is leased on to mercer 3 paper boy trucker is a driver for maverick and pulls mavericks flatbed.
Sometimes the pig tails pull on the inside check to see if it is tight when you plug it in if it's not there are a few screws holding it together just tighten them up and sometimes there is a calcium build up take a bottle of coke and pour some in to your terminals on the truck and the pig tail good luck
That's why you call the shipper and receiver to get the correct information.
You should get some rubber dunnage to put where your chains meet in the middle of the x, it will save your chains from wearing out and snapping
How did you. Get. That job
