I quit my job and started towing with a 98 durango and a car dolly, eberone said i was absolutely crazy and would never make it. In 3 months I bought a 20' car hauler, and the doors opened to a whole lot more of what I could tow but was beating the durango to absolute hell. Went through 2 transmissions and 2 rear ends in about 4 month's but made enough money and bought a 2000 f250 7.3. Did ebpv delete, 4" back, ts6 tuner and intake. Put a 5" lift 35s bumper and winch on the durango and started doing offroad recovery as well towing and full roadside assistance and Mobile Repairs. Within 1 year I made over 150k and it all started with a $900 durango with a 5.9l and a used car dolly I bought. Now I'm looking at buying a wrecker and to hire a buddy to drive it all day while I continue doing long distance transports with the f250. Everyone that said I was stupid and crazy is now asking me how I started doing it and what to do. It was anything but easy and I made things work when they absolutely shouldn't have. 10k a week don’t let that dude fool you man! Just get u a non cdl 40ft. People keep going to deep and to much over head and then go outta business play it smart boss. But congrats man!
53 fort Simone c out of the box is too expensive for hotshot but used for 33k when people are getting 40foot for 30k. I think that’s a smart investment. Especially because the GVWR on it is 40k lbs. Also we have to keep i mind a brand new truck with brand new Diamond C still is a small investment compared to a semi. It’s all about ROI and when you start picking up at places that o Lu accept 53’ trailers you start to see why semi trucks are on the road and they make the big bucks.
@Babylionhotshot no it's not that's just wrong. A used semi trailer is cheaper than a diamomd C I have both especially loaded out ones when a semi has air ride, you can't consistently find a loaded diamond for cheaper. A used semi is cheaper than a newer truck. You can get a 2018 cascadia for way less than any new pickup and it will last longer. A brand new cascadia is more but if you're buying a new semi and not a big company you're an idiot.
No way you will make 10k with or without cdl. Average loads are 1.60 a mile. You can only drive 11 hours a day. 3k miles a week. Stop getting people thinking that. You'll make on a good week 5k don't forget you have 1500 a month in insurance 1300.00 for truck. 1000 for trailer. You'll need to eat that's 700.00 a month you take home 2k a week if you do it right. That's still great money 8k a month just don't think you'll make killer money then be disappointed. And it's not easy. You'll be in the truck 24/7 if I'm wrong show you're bol prove you make 10k a week and I'll sell my trucks and come work for you. Or have a class on what to do right.
If anyone is waiting on their MC to season just haul cars on central dispatch until you're ready. You don't need a dispatcher and there's loads of regular people buying cars from copart and IAAI to keep you in business. Salvage car dealerships don't care about your MC.... Hell they don't even care if you have insurance... I worked in the used car industry for 6 years so I know this first hand.

I wouldn’t quit till 90 days after you have set up you MC # and USDOT #. Yes you will have to pay expensive commercial trucking insurance during this time but most brokers won’t work with you will you past 90 days. But you’ll see when you call for load and you will be able to judge when your getting more work and you can switch. I hope that made sense. Great question.
@bucs1015 your mc# is your authority. I'm assuming he's saying wait the 90 because most brokers won't wanna work with you until you've had your own authority for 90 days some it's 120

I got a rollin s brand trailer that’s stepdeck 40ft long I haul tractors on with a f450 they’d prolly make bigger and they make them all the way down to 16 ft I believe

I wish you the best cause your going to need it!
Ya it was a good deal plus it will have resale value. Also im paying it of .60 cents a mile for the truck and trailer. So it’s was in total 120k$ and I plan on having them both paid off by when my truck reaches 200k miles. So that comes out to be a 6k$ payment every 10k miles. I have been keeping up with a decent rate per mile and just made my first 6k$ payment. It hurt but it now or later. Im at 12k miles on the truck already.
would you recommend working under someone else's MC number ? (not a big company) an owner operator that i know and just get my truck and give him some $ or just get my own MC?
Why not get a semi tractor instead if you are gonna do CDL anyways? Is it for the MPG or something? You can get a semi truck used that rated for way more for cheaper than a new 550 that’ll likely last longer. You need a class A for this anyways
Thanks Ironmule; So we were sitting at the dinner table and my brother said "Hey Stu, I think I found your trailer" he shows me his phone that is opened to Facebook. Ian,(the Seller) Posted it 3 min ago and he was trying to sell his truck and trailer. We messaged him and asked if he would sell us just the trailer. he messaged back yes for 33k$ we immediately asked for his number called him and headed down the next day. The rest is history. Im very glad Ian was a great guy and legit. But the short answer is Facebook.
pretty good. not the most about of maximum usage from the step deck part but im getting better. I working on getting better at booking loads. then that will in hand help me fill her up
Be prepared to get you another truck. Then trailers are too heavy for the 3 50s and 4 50s. I've been doing it for 5 years. I got rid of it. Went back to a 40 foot. Them trailers are just too heavy. Too much pressure on them trucks.
frick me that size trailer and truck means you are as long as a semi and trailer. I’m an aussie trucker and drive a cab over Daf CF and I’m 15m long or 49’ total length as a single trailer.
You Aussie's and those Cab overs lol Thats cool you watch the channel from over there. I appreciate the support. ya it's long but gives me great experience Incase I go semi.
You said a non CDL? I thought you had a CDL setup? I’ve been following you for a while now and I’ll be soon getting into the HotShot business. I’m enjoying the content you put out!
haha thanks. Its so nice and I want to move back soooooo bad. I was born and raised for the first 19 years of my life in St. Petersburg, FL. My Parents and my sister still live down there with just my brother and I up here in Illinois. But I'll be trucking down there with you sometime soon hopefully Mr.Pipe.
Just wanted to know how do you find the loads for non cdl i want to start doin hot shot runs i have a cdl but want to start first with non cdl just wana kno if u can help with telling me the app or website were to find loads
Okay so if you want to find loads I use Truckstop.com. but they are goin to want you to have a motor carrier authority. so you just have to go on the FMCSA website and register for that. its 300$ easy and then you can get insurance and a subscription to a load board but insurance is expense so look into getting a quote with progressive before anything. Good Luck Alejandro
I watched another hotshot video, dude grossed $150,000 and after expenses brought hom $30K, and got an extra $1,000 back in taxes at the end of the year. Dont be fooled my those high gross numbers. One guy made $250K and brought home $80K doing hotshot 29 out of 30 days every month. 😮 Dude didn't have a life and only made $80K.
If you’re having to ask the guy what you can make, you obviously didn’t do your research, once again lol. I hope you’re gonna do good, but man oh man 😅

At one time I loved what I was doing but now it's a constant fight everyday in this industry and with FMCSA running around with their head up there ass just trying to destroy this industry along with the current administration it's just not worth it anymore. I wish you the best cause your going to need it!
Look at it this way
$33,000
Over 10 yrs or 520 weeks
Is $64 a week or $9 a day for a top of the line trailer
Ya it was a good deal plus it will have resale value. Also im paying it of .60 cents a mile for the truck and trailer. So it’s was in total 120k$ and I plan on having them both paid off by when my truck reaches 200k miles. So that comes out to be a 6k$ payment every 10k miles. I have been keeping up with a decent rate per mile and just made my first 6k$ payment. It hurt but it now or later. Im at 12k miles on the truck already.
@@Babylionhotshot You got your cdl now?
@@hustlehaulandtowtrucking3508 yes finally
Good job and good luck
Thank you so much for your help
would you recommend working under someone else's MC number ? (not a big company) an owner operator that i know and just get my truck and give him some $ or just get my own MC?
Very inspirational 👏
Thanks Nikoatl 🦁
I just got started cant wait untill i get rolling like this
Why not get a semi tractor instead if you are gonna do CDL anyways? Is it for the MPG or something? You can get a semi truck used that rated for way more for cheaper than a new 550 that’ll likely last longer. You need a class A for this anyways
Good question
Nice trailer! How did you find it??
Thanks Ironmule; So we were sitting at the dinner table and my brother said "Hey Stu, I think I found your trailer" he shows me his phone that is opened to Facebook. Ian,(the Seller) Posted it 3 min ago and he was trying to sell his truck and trailer. We messaged him and asked if he would sell us just the trailer. he messaged back yes for 33k$ we immediately asked for his number called him and headed down the next day. The rest is history. Im very glad Ian was a great guy and legit. But the short answer is Facebook.
How’s it going with the trailer
pretty good. not the most about of maximum usage from the step deck part but im getting better. I working on getting better at booking loads. then that will in hand help me fill her up
also I have all the number on an excel spread sheet that im going to post and go over with everyone
Can I start with a ford F350?
Be prepared to get you another truck. Then trailers are too heavy for the 3 50s and 4 50s. I've been doing it for 5 years. I got rid of it. Went back to a 40 foot. Them trailers are just too heavy. Too much pressure on them trucks.
After a year, how has this trailer worked out for you?
frick me that size trailer and truck means you are as long as a semi and trailer.
Cursing will lose you more viewers than gain
Welcome to Florida
haha thanks.
40 plus 5 with ramps u can do very well
You can still run this set up non CDL?
No brother
32k for used trailer?
Just wanted to know how do you find the loads for non cdl i want to start doin hot shot runs i have a cdl but want to start first with non cdl just wana kno if u can help with telling me the app or website were to find loads
Okay so if you want to find loads I use Truckstop.com. but they are goin to want you to have a motor carrier authority. so you just have to go on the FMCSA website and register for that. its 300$ easy and then you can get insurance and a subscription to a load board but insurance is expense so look into getting a quote with progressive before anything. Good Luck Alejandro
Still waiting for you to tell me how to get that class a CDL for only $600...
Have you figured it out ?? I need to know also
Would you be interested in selling your trailer, I’m running a 3500 ram
Fing hotshots always in the way taking up parking and blocking the fuel lines for real truckers
Does he has TH-cam channel?
Who Ian? the guy I got the trailer from. He said he does.
the next tow piglet
only thing its missing is the dovetail
You never told us about the cdl situation how to get a cdl in like 3 days !!! Lol
You have to call me in the description. I don’t want to over whelm the school that’s the reason. Then no one will be able to get a cheap CDL
New subscribe awesome video
I watched another hotshot video, dude grossed $150,000 and after expenses brought hom $30K, and got an extra $1,000 back in taxes at the end of the year. Dont be fooled my those high gross numbers. One guy made $250K and brought home $80K doing hotshot 29 out of 30 days every month. 😮 Dude didn't have a life and only made $80K.
Dude, you can't pull that as non CDL. Your max GVWR is 26,001 lbs combined truck and trailer. That new trailer is a 40K 😂.
Even if your new I think it’s bs that nobody wants to work with you it’s like how you gonna get experience when nobody wants you
No combination certs or anything
Awesome video man love the content very inspirational 👏🏾 👍🏾 just got my Class A looking to get started soon
blowing your credit line
33k!!!!!??? man get a semi rent both trailers and go to work with ur brother!!!;
Get ur CDL getting 53 foot
People, crawl before walking. Get a taste on what you're getting into!!
They want to much bread for a 53 you’ll spend the extra money paying for it
If you’re having to ask the guy what you can make, you obviously didn’t do your research, once again lol. I hope you’re gonna do good, but man oh man 😅
Well we will see that for sure. And I’m definitely putting the real numbers out good or bad.
Theres a reason why he moved to a semi lol
Shit I would had a load back
can i make money?? hes selling it for a reason!!!!
The bigger the trailer the less weight you can haul I do not understand your reasoning by getting a bigger trailer and pulling it with a pickup truck.
I don't like the fact non-cdl hotshoters can get away with adding length and weight and still don't have a CDL
Nope 35'
😝 "promo sm"
Must be running all over the country from sun up to sun down without logging!!!
Hey what's up nice trailer can i get the number to the school, thanks
Where are you out of?
South Carolina
@@rapidcarriers1111 okay so I’m going to tell you as much as I can. Google 1 day CDL and start making calls. They are out there and probably in SC. The one I found was in Iowa. It’s kinda a drive for you but I just got a hotel when I got there. Still a lot cheaper then 5k$. Hope that pointed you in the right direction. If you want the exact place I went to and they know that I send people I talk to their way; you have to call me for the number. Link is in the description. But I can unload some more secrets I know of too. But you should be able to find someone close to you by googling around your area and making phone calls. Thanks Rapidcarriers
Thanks again
