Terraria with the Randomized Explosives mod is pretty good
Back at terraria and it was actually a fun time. lots of failure but it was a good time. very cool
1.4.5 kind of exploded in scope which is why it isn't out yet. They originally intended it to just be a small update mostly just for the dead cells crossover, but the devs got carried away again.

the reason random blocks kept on exploding is probably because when you were hooking the blocks the texture of the block changes and the mod maker probably just made it so that whenever a block updates it has the chance to explode. oh and btw you need to sign your lease agreement.

ILikeCheese playing Terraria is always a wild and thrilling ride, but the unexpected twist of having 5% of his world turned into a bomb-infested zone was pure genius! at 7:12, the lead ore is not what blew up. it was the pot. and since a pot encompasses 4 blocks, it was actually a one in 5 chance to blow up. since you were also going to destroy the lead. it would jump to a one in 4 chance. you took a 25% chance to instantly die just to mine one lead block.

If I remember correctly I used the method for when tiles break, which actually gets called when mining a tile at all (regardless of if it breaks), and presumably when a tile updates at all (so grappling? But I guess not placing tiles because that updates the texture too last I checked?) idk, it’s weird lol.

So I think I found out what happened at 7:32
When you landed, you landed mostly on the solid block, but the side of your character slightly clipped into the partial block on your left. This caused some pixels to pop out, and this likely caused a block "update", which is what this mod seems to be detecting. That block was updated, triggering the explosion, which also makes sense because that's where the explosion is centered on your screen
Hope that helps if you ever play again, or at the very least I hope it helps anyone else that will play this crazy mod!
i saw a part of the hook, so I thought that he exploded because the hook explodes when it disappears
@@takimi_nada hmm, that's possible, but I don't think the hook results in a block update. So that means its either something about him clipping in causing that glitch, or the modder made a mistake, both of which are equally likely
@@NickSmith-fe7lp hooks count as a block update because it is possible to get a block in its "hooked" state even if there is no player attached to it

To avoid the silly mistake you made with the featherfall potion, you could just have held “S” on your keyboard to temporarily disable slow fall. With featherfall potions, holding “S” makes you fall at normal speed and holding “W” slows your descent further.
You can't even do a hardcore playthrough without it ending via explosion, and you thought this was a good idea? On the other hand, it's a bit like exposure therapy, so I suppose I support it

planter boxes would be overpowered with this mod. As long as you have a ranged weapon any early game boss is getting melted.
Guide to peaceful coexistence is now god tier.
This probably would have been less content creatable, yet more annoying inducing if instead of every block update having a 5% chance to detonate, 5% of the blocks in the world were generated to blow up when broken. That way it’d take a lot longer to detonate, cuz think about it, one interaction rolls a 5% chance, that means that once you’ve interacted with 45 blocks, you’re statistically at a 90% chance to explode, if I could only mine 45 ore in one mining trip I’d hate this game.
