Concept is more important than sizing. No matter you trade with 100 rs or 1000 rs ..% of amount is important. Amount ( position sizing ) is not important.

There are more than a hundred methods for earning in stock market, each having character of its own. It is not about the method it is all about you. I learned many strategies in options. I liked it a lot. Still, I decided to stick on with cash equities with position sizing, SL, and diversification as it is best suited for me. My return was like this -the first month 2.15%, the second month -0.5%, now 1.25 %. Anyway, due to the compounding effect, there is a considerable increase in the portfolio. I am going to stick with it.

If nifty makes sudden one way move , one side of straddle will be in trouble and if you are not hedged for overnight position, you will be running for cover, unless you have learned adjustment ( possibly from PR Sunder!) .Stop loss works during the day only.

Very true sir, people are westernized by van tharap position sizing. Their market sentiment and logic are different from Indian Market and sentimet. After playing with simulation software of van tharap and position sizing I won in the game and got confident that it is the best strategy I learnt. After a while when I lost 25℅ of my capital found it is the beast strategy. Please believe in Indian market leaders advice like PR Sundar. 50 Lakhs in 15000 Short Straddle alone. I have filtered the positions to show how the Straddle has performed. Remaining money deployed in various other strategies. Also I showed only one account, 25Cr is profit from all the accounts I managed.

However, I must have the courage to hold on to the paper losses once my forecast goes wrong. It is not before 3 years of successful trading I will call myself a successful trader. May be position sizing is not important for hedgers... But for equities and future traders its one of the tool to self descipline. So blanket statement is not necessary.
This seems to be a promotional series for attending his workshops. Just think back after the video he dint tell anything useful. Just boasting about himself. But risk management and position sizing are really important if u want to succeed. Dont get me wrong,I am a beginner too but I can sense some drama to lure people into workshops....
He was clear about it. If he gives everything here what will he do in the training. Everyone wants to make money and pr sundar is no different. The time taken to acquire this knowledge cannot be calculated in money terns. Sundar has achieved something and he certainly need not share his knowledge for free. Remember there us no free lunch.

But stock market is not everyone's cup of tea. Patience - Perseverance - then only profits. This is only the moola mantra. No short cuts. P - P depends upon you. BTW trading is easy only for those people who have gained more than enough experience.

There are very few people like P R Sundar ji who can differentiate between noise and signal. PR sizing is all noise like most other terms of technical analyses.
Option buying with riskless capital is best strategy for multiple quarters. You will probably lose money for 8 months. But in 2 months you will not only recover the sum but also earn a bonanza return

Mr Sundar I completely agree with you. All youtubers except you are spreading all these gyan about position sizing, stoploss etc. If these things are so important then why 90% traders fail. Even those who are criticising you do the same & loose money but they still like those youtubers.
90% of traders fail because they keep chasing the same high win rate strategies from various sources, picking pennies risking dollars, not because of stop-loss or position sizing. They don't like taking losses, don't like trading daily or weekly charts, don't like doing price action analysis, look for systematic setup-based systems that tell them EXACTLY when to buy and when to sell. That doesn't work. Also, 90% of traders are not traders, they just trade, want 50% a year every year. They get stuck in the following cycle - Starts with CNBC - TH-camrs TA - Price Action Analysis (give up quickly) - Options buying - Options selling - Hedged option selling - Fundamentals Analysis - TA + Fundamental Analysis - Buying and holding index funds - Back to fixed deposit

Position sizing and portfolio allocation is best achieved through the efficient frontier, Monte Carlo simulation on return maximization with a high Sharpe ratio is the key to have gains. This is according to Markowitz's modern portfolio theory.
Only Operaters and who following the operaters will not care about Risk Mangement or SL, but a normal trader who trading on probability must follow proper SL and Position sizing.
Most people hates Mr Sundar because of their small capital. Even 1 lot isn't possible if you don't have 1.5 lakh, forget about adjustment trades. But trust me, Options is the most probable way to make money- irrespective of bull, bear or consolidation.
Not agree, just one example, if reliance mart has bought any item to sell and it's not sold, and the date of expiry of the item is near, they sell it giving discount, that is called stop loss

i am in the market for more than 12 years in long term share purchase. any stock i want to purchase i go for SIP .my return is 12to 15% per annum .today i am happy to retire without worry. i am self employed. i have not traded anytime and i will not do anytime. During corona i had done short term investment/trading my return is 30% per annum. hence my humble request for the middle case people is go for long term investment and this investment is by SIP method 10% by instalment

However, I must have the courage to hold on to the paper losses once my forecast goes wrong. It is not before 3 years of successful trading I will call myself a successful trader.
And of course, diligent following of P R Sundar's analysis does helps a lot.

Position sizing should depend on the setup and the number of confirmations present that the trade is likely to perform.
It should depend on stoploss amount ,... nothing else...
May be position sizing is not important for hedgers... But for equities and future traders its one of the tool to self descipline. So blanket statement is not necessary.

This seems to be a promotional series for attending his workshops. Just think back after the video he dint tell anything useful. Just boasting about himself. But risk management and position sizing are really important if u want to succeed. Dont get me wrong,I am a beginner too but I can sense some drama to lure people into workshops....
He was clear about it. If he gives everything here what will he do in the training. Everyone wants to make money and pr sundar is no different. The time taken to acquire this knowledge cannot be calculated in money terns. Sundar has achieved something and he certainly need not share his knowledge for free. Remember there us no free lunch.

All the strategies, plans, will not work all the time. No plan is fool proof. It may take years to master it. If the IQ level is above 150, then you can master it in no time. But stock market is not everyone's cup of tea. Patience - Perseverance - then only profits. This is only the moola mantra. No short cuts. P - P depends upon you. BTW trading is easy only for those people who have gained more than enough experience.
He is not claiming to be anything. He is only sharing his thoughts for free, which is valuable to most.

There are very few people like P R Sundar ji who can differentiate between noise and signal. PR sizing is all noise like most other terms of technical analyses.
Option buying with riskless capital is best strategy for multiple quarters. You will probably lose money for 8 months. But in 2 months you will not only recover the sum but also earn a bonanza return

Very good topic for the day, Well said No one talk about proper position sizing, It all depends at the current market movements and moreover no one talks about it (All say use 30% of the total capital), What I believe/Focus on it that is Risk management always, If we have proper risk management rule with Proper Planning then definitely we cant be in loss all the time & at the end M2M will be green, Please quote me if I am wrong :-)
Stoploss is imp! If it is getting hit then it is ur system fault! Out of 10 sl hits if 3 sl hit or more sl hits, first hit sl & then hit target then it is ur system falut! I m talking bout low capital trader who trade in equity market!

Mr Sundar I completely agree with you. All youtubers except you are spreading all these gyan about position sizing, stoploss etc. If these things are so important then why 90% traders fail. Even those who are criticising you do the same & loose money but they still like those youtubers.
90% of traders fail because they keep chasing the same high win rate strategies from various sources, picking pennies risking dollars, not because of stop-loss or position sizing. They don't like taking losses, don't like trading daily or weekly charts, don't like doing price action analysis, look for systematic setup-based systems that tell them EXACTLY when to buy and when to sell.
That doesn't work. Also, 90% of traders are not traders, they just trade, want 50% a year every year. They get stuck in the following cycle
- Starts with CNBC
- TH-camrs TA
- Price Action Analysis (give up quickly)
- Options buying
- Options selling
- Hedged option selling
- Fundamentals Analysis
- TA + Fundamental Analysis
- Buying and holding index funds
- Back to fixed deposit

Not agree, just one example, if reliance mart has bought any item to sell and it's not sold, and the date of expiry of the item is near, they sell it giving discount, that is called stop loss
