36:26 Making Starferer useful at transporting liquids and gaz is easy. Make it that container are limited with pressure so it less efficient : like you need a Hull C a liquid commodity to transport the same volume as a Starferer because it is more compressed in the Starferer tanks. So anyone can transport them but if you need to be efficient you will use the Starferer (and it will be easier to load).
Pretty good idea imho. The downside is making fuel not loot-able, but maybe they could add a way to directly pass it to ANOTHER starfarer so fuel raiders could be a thing like in Mad Max.
Unified mesh format is a big deal because it means better optimization and is absolutely key to enviroment and ship destruction. It means that the formats for the files of which textures etc. is standardized

The chore aspect of refueling is having to land at 4 pads on a station, then dock in a hangar, and then fly to another station and repeat that process in order to be able to get the menu to refuel.
The Starfarer is one of two or three ships that refine ore into fuel (it's got scoops to collect space dust stuff), and it's the only ship that is currently in the game that can do it (ok, not currently but it just needs switching on), it can sit in a location mining and selling fuel for locations off the beaten track. Your potential to make money will fluctuate on the scarcity of fuel in the area... you'll become incredibly valuable as a business partner for legitimate and even more so for people who might find it difficult approaching a secure location... unless you're dealing with idiots or scorpions.
Starfarer idea... they can undercut space stations and planets, so if you see one they are cheaper than other places as they don't have the tax from stations or planets.
Starfarer can still work as a fuel maker. If the cost of fuel increases enough, there will be an opportunity to undercut this cost. Maybe bases will include refuelling stations?
It would be nice to see Mineable Radar show mineables like you said and Ships, but Color code them and add an audio alert (Unknown ship Yellow or Orange, Enemy RED) except for party player ships and players (Always Green). How many times do they have to flash on the screen or say that the numbers will change? The numbers don't mean anything in that episode... For it to sink in?
On the server meshing video they clearly stated that server meshing is working, but certain systems in the game have to upgrade their code for the tech. As they are not compatible with the server mesh. So to bring server meshing upto the game as it is without requires certain teams to get their parts up to speed.
It would be nice if ships finally respected physics after being destroyed. Both on planets in gravity and in space. Having a ship at max speed stop and disintegrate upon destruction without any effect of speed, gravity and physics just looks very silly.
What ever happened to Hydrogen fuel scooping? I thought it was just the fighters that lost the scoops (years ago) but none of my ships seem to scoop anymore.
7 unannounced vehicles. Probably like last year. Ground vehicles, tiny ships no one wants and variations of both. Maybe they'll slip a medium sized ship in there. But nothing to be excited about more than likely.
Making refuelling less of a chore? Refuelling less often? I can count on one hand the amount of times I had to go home to refuel rather than simply pressing that refuel button when I was headed to a station for practically any other reason. And this hand came back from Iraq upgraded from a five to an ace of clubs(in fact, it's not my hand, don't ask where I got it). When the actual fuck am I supposed to be able to make money with this starfarer? Bruh.
Refueling a large ship is always a chore. It takes 20+ minutes to refuel the Hydrogen in something like a Carrack, Reclaimer or 890 after a short flight. God forbid you let them get below 75%. It usually takes less time and effort and UEC just to reclaim and expedite them. Edit: Quantum fuel always fills within a few seconds if not instantly.
Many ships have component doors for radar. It would be better if your radar capability depended on what radar component you placed in your ship. Allows the players to attempt to use ships for whatever purpose they please instead of being cemented into a role with little flexibility.
BTW just had a skippable ad rev ad that was advertising the selling of UEC, someone really needs to chat to youtube about this alot of UK ads are scams of some kind!
PEOPLE COMPLAIN SO MUCH IN THIS COMMUNITY!! try it first. Also keep in mind the game you sre playing now is not the game CiG wants to release. When big economy and gameplay changes are made, you need to see the bigger picture before complaining. Ppl are saying “I can’t even do one mission and buy the highest tier combat armor in the game! Wtf!?” Good. What gane donyou know whwre you can do one mission and buy a few sets or the highest tiers of armor? Destiny? World of Warcraft? Warframe? War thunder? In none of these games can you do a couple missions and buy a new weapon/plane/set of armor. Get real guys. We have been getting alot of money to TEST THE GAME. So you don’t have to worry about a bug costing you days of play. As it becomes more stable and bugs are less common, i think money will be dropped to be even less common as well.
aside from the refueling not being a chore anymore they said "new economies across different star systems" Which sounds like pricing will vary for fuel depending on obtainability & trade of said quantum & hydrogen as a commodity, Which could mean that actions when trading these commodities would have a real impact on refuelling of ships in said system e.g. if someone held up or has been attacking vessels carrying fuel the more danger of hauling it would result in prices hiking up to reflect that.. say in pyro it's likely since the system is larger and the risk factor being higher as a non UEE system the prices would be more for refuelling than in the Stanton system. Further more any specific space ports out there that are the only one in the vicinity of a large area means that station might choose to hike their prices up due to the fact they know they don't have any competition and can gouge customers cause it's in the middle of nowhere or the only port close to a specific point of interest!
I wish they would separate abandoned and non abandoned targeting and visuals I don't need to see that theres 10 abandoned ship at an outpost I need to see which ones have players... I'm not salvage so empty ships should not be prioritised and take over my radar & 3D HUD because more often than not it's madness, I also wish for them to actually do something about the ridiculous amount of abandoned ships at outposts, cities and space stations. I've come up with an idea (i'll prob submit it later) of the game detecting abandoned ships in the vicinity of an armistice if a ship has been there for 12hrs it's automatically unlocked and the ship is marked as allowed to be salvaged an area issued given mission, this would let those in salvage to clean up the mess for the port/station!

10:45 You asked, “can we change this for the average person to read?” If we insist that everyone tailor everything for the people that get their education from tik tok, society would crumble. I say leave them behind if they can’t figure it out. Plus, if they can’t read it, more content for you to produce by simply explaining it.
nah, bad take, losing parts on destruction was a thing. it sucked ass. every invisible asteroid. kamikaze AI. hanger glitch. general glitches. and ur off for 2 hours going round all the shops to buy all your parts again. regardless of price. price is just another kick in the balls. insurance returns should, as they currently do include internal components. even if the game runned perfectly i wouldn't want to spend hours re-buying parts every time I died. it just sucks the fun from the game. makes it a chore.
Well I suggest you try the engineering demo, the reason it was so bad is you “died” a lot. The ships should not be exploding even 10% of the time that it does now.

I dont think it means that drives will become more efficient. you need most of your fuel to get off a planet in any proximity of any reality. they say that they will rebalance without it being a chore, not to make it not a chore anymore. It's not a chore for a long time. I think people just get disconnected from any reality of fuel needs. We got refuel ships, we got large ships for transport. At some point those tiny fighters wont travel a long distance anymore without some supply.

we need just a little more 3RD person motion and commands in scanner sations and have a way to relay data to a "Catography" hologram projector like the idris hall and the mapping dech on a carrack but the idea NPCS fly your ships YOU COMMAND your ships via the command deck tools on capital ships. RECON type ships will have larger fog of war reveal so they can ping for longer distances to "Discover" but not to "identify" at the same distance but a scanning ship Radar equipped can face the direction the discovered pip is at and Scan it to relay the PING data back to the fleet you are part of (all your ships active in the capital ships broadcast range which should have a MM decay time so it takes longer for data to bounce from ship to ship or ship to ECN to ECN to ship which can take as long as it takes to jump for basic scanners and have hardware performance creep to improve this over time THE NPCs will be manage like IDROID management form MGSV so i would like to see the ability to hire the convicts you arrest like you can in MGSV so if a nine tails has good Bounty stats you incap them and put them in cuffs they can be rostered from the Klesher Rehbilitation contract manager where you give CONVICT NPCs work (maybe players too) the standard ROSTER for NPCs is located at the BAR in every staion and STARports have Key hubs like wallies bar & Gloc with a roster and special access to STORY NPCS that unlock a HEROIC crew member (these will be specialised in each gameplay loop and having them in your crew buffs the stats of your crew members by 2x points in the gameplay loop that Hero NPC is part of.) Look you read this cool but i know whats gonna happen alreayd. too obvious this is the path they will take star citzien naturally needs it.

I’m a bit consented about pay outs being lowered Especially for the starter missions how are new players even going to be able to afford a basic set of armor my friend joined recently and was already getting frustrated with losing it on death he felt like he was grinding and not making it no Where we need to think about the starter experience may be adjustment of basic items needs to be lowered as well what happens when a new player is barley making anything and can’t even afford anything and just struggles to get a weapons and a space suit and is punished constantly they quit a challenge to the top is good but you have to feel like you can make some progress
Starter players shouldn't be buying armour. You can get quit a few set pieces just running low level bunker missions. Your friend is doing it all wrong.

I'd like mission givers, but not if it mean 2 trains 4 elevators and a 5 minute walk
I love the star fairer myself!! I still have it but never call it anymore :(
Are you able to sell ship components that you strip from ships? That would be a cool way to make money if components stay expensive
You can ! Engineering will allow us to repair them but I don't expect the prices actually change for a while
JT being only active at some set times AND being horribly unprofitable is a VERY weird place for it to be. It’s just not worth the time to bring a whole org to lock it down for several hours to make 300k and split it 10+ ways

You asked, “can we change this for the average person to read?”
If we insist that everyone tailor everything for the people that get their education from tik tok, society would crumble.
I say leave them behind if they can’t figure it out.
Plus, if they can’t read it, more content for you to produce by simply explaining it.
We really need a landing radar like in ED.
Love the new Radar updates!
nah, bad take, losing parts on destruction was a thing. it sucked ass. every invisible asteroid. kamikaze AI. hanger glitch. general glitches. and ur off for 2 hours going round all the shops to buy all your parts again. regardless of price. price is just another kick in the balls. insurance returns should, as they currently do include internal components. even if the game runned perfectly i wouldn't want to spend hours re-buying parts every time I died. it just sucks the fun from the game. makes it a chore.
Well I suggest you try the engineering demo, the reason it was so bad is you “died” a lot. The ships should not be exploding even 10% of the time that it does now.
@@saltemikereactsI think much like Jared about pyro habs; you have a higher expectation of behavior by the “winners” then will actually be the reality
@@saltemikereacts its hard, lots of should's in star citizen. I'm generally not keen for anything that makes my current life harder(tedious) in the verse for the sake of harder. or the sake of something that should come...sometime... one day. a lot of things can feel implemented in the wrong order. cheers for the reply.
At some point those tiny fighters wont travel a long distance anymore without some supply.
i actually do hate twitch for their ad practices for the times i have no choice but to go there every time i go there im bombarded with ads every 30 minutes or so for like 2-5 minutes of unskippable. anyway looks like cig is working on some neat stuff but definitely gotta see it in the ptu before i have much of an opinion on it.
good ol stellaris music
I can't read or write so I appreciate these videos.
we need just a little more 3RD person motion and commands in scanner sations and have a way to relay data to a "Catography" hologram projector like the idris hall and the mapping dech on a carrack
but the idea
NPCS fly your ships YOU COMMAND your ships via the command deck tools on capital ships.
RECON type ships will have larger fog of war reveal so they can ping for longer distances to "Discover" but not to "identify" at the same distance but a scanning ship Radar equipped can face the direction the discovered pip is at and Scan it to relay the PING data back to the fleet you are part of (all your ships active in the capital ships broadcast range which should have a MM decay time so it takes longer for data to bounce from ship to ship or ship to ECN to ECN to ship which can take as long as it takes to jump for basic scanners and have hardware performance creep to improve this over time
THE NPCs will be manage like IDROID management form MGSV so i would like to see the ability to hire the convicts you arrest like you can in MGSV so if a nine tails has good Bounty stats you incap them and put them in cuffs they can be rostered from the Klesher Rehbilitation contract manager where you give CONVICT NPCs work (maybe players too)
the standard ROSTER for NPCs is located at the BAR in every staion and STARports have Key hubs like wallies bar & Gloc with a roster and special access to STORY NPCS that unlock a HEROIC crew member (these will be specialised in each gameplay loop and having them in your crew buffs the stats of your crew members by 2x points in the gameplay loop that Hero NPC is part of.)
Look you read this cool but i know whats gonna happen alreayd. too obvious this is the path they will take star citzien naturally needs it.
Why does it always sound like they are reinventing the wheel? Over complicating every process to the point that things that should be simple, don't work.
its not a sim guys, its just a glorified RP game. just saying :D
I don't know how you get through these!
DEV DIARRHEA . . .
I was ready to see you punch your chair over outfit animations, just let it out man 😂
Is he playing Stellaris? I here that music.
I was the background music on stream today I love it.
I'm just happy they support RMT.
But I'm sad they discriminate against disabled people, if they're willing to do that, I wonder what else they've done?
You said you did not see a reason a fighter needs to see mineables. If we use a gladius as a scout for a mining operation, then what's the solution?
Keep watching...
The money they raised..ai should be giving us head
What was that ending lol
26:55 Or crafting new ones!
I'm at work and can't watch this video so I'm going only off the title. But if they update the radar and scanning to make exploration interesting like in eve I'd be back in a heartbeat.
Terapin needs a pass over. The get out of the seat bug and flight feel nneds some TLC.
Nice chair...
Is that one of those official chairs?
@@JesseFowlerDesigneryup, and it’s punch proof.
Kinda disappointed they only released three. An Argo chair would've gone so hard.
@@Billy-bc8pk i get what you are saying im just pointing out i don't think its a good idea to make it even harder for people just getting into the game and i think some of us forget what its like because we have ships and have bin playing sense before 3.0
Your friend is treating it like it's a game. But it's not. It's a tech demo.
@@MontySaurusRex_ whatever you say
i also not a fan of their events , "our base core systems arent even able to be stable at capacity so lets make an event that makes things even worse :3"
Twelve years in, "We're still building the tools..." Is there any comparison for real life projects (skyscrapers/bridges/... hell The Pyramids) that have taken OVER. TWELVE. YEARS. just to make the damn TOOLS??!? Here's a though: mayyybe, STOP MAKING TOOLS AND MAKE THE DAMN GAME!!!
We need to stop lowering our comprehensions skills to the lowest common denominator.
Love your content and been a fan for a while, any plans to start uploading to "the green app"? I'd sub over there if you did!
What the fuck is the green app?
Let there be, Elden Ring. 🙆♂️
Where theaters of war
FPS ping the death of SC FPS PvP gameplay
for real, but maybe there'll be a $50 fps ping blocker we'll be able to buy! whoo!
10:37 You can't understand it becuse its just word salad. Have you not figured that out by now?
FPS ping is going to ruin this game
The monthly reports are pointless. It's a shame teams are spending precious seconds on them instead of just developing the game.
Damn...eMike follows the project closely and still has no clue what's what when he reads this. Dude you need to kiss Chris' feet and get enlighted, dont shy away from the light bro.
nope, they're just going to keep raising prices both in and out of game while lowering the ability to make money at a reasonable pace. Grind for a year to keep your $2000 ship running for a month.Starfarer is a refueling ship why would it be a liquid transport ship? Also, starfarer hasn't been touched since release, it's complete garbage right now.
Anyone want to buy 1200 worth of ships for 700?
pre read
I can't wait until the game still isn't launched and Chris's kids and grand kids are in pics with him.
First
all I see is react vids
does this guffer even actually play the game?
and have friends to play the game with?
i get your name is Salty MIke, and and, I I get all the things wrong with CIG and Star Citizen, but I no longer see your videos as constructive critisim, but just bitching. Good luck with that. From me, you get a thumbs down and an "UNSUBSCRIBE".
I felt I gave you plenty of chances, but the negativity is too much to deal with.
