extra scrutiny and security is because of terr0rist attacks from India's Western neighbour country. it is frustrating for the tourists specially for foreigners. but because of these security measures there has not been a major terrorist attack in india except Kashmir in recent years. earlier because of terrorism threat very few foreigners used to come now more foreigners are coming and people of India are feeling safer. so whatever they are doing is working.

And the Jet Lag is more likely the Indian food, so much oil etc. In South East Asia I would walk/explore for 5 or 10kms sometimes but in India I never had energy. As soon as I was back in Malaysia I got the energy back. I can't count the amount of times I was walking up stairs and there were local Indians stopped and gasping for breath

Definitely found the food very heavy here with oils and fats sneaked into the food to make it more filling.

Well it actually depends on the region and again if you’re eating street food or restaurant food then it’ll be heavy . Homemade Indian food is not what you eat on streets . India can be really hectic but only in the major cities . If you go towards NE or southern region it’s more peaceful. Plus you should’ve visited A&N islands too .

Getting anything official done in India is a drama. It tool 15 days to get my motorbike out of customs, at Chennai. In Kuala Lumpur it took around 4hrs and that included putting the bike back together at customs warehouse

Not only Leh but the whole northeast region (7 states) is different from your typical India . People there are mixed of nepalis Tibetan and Burmese descent. You should visit NE India it’s beautiful.

Tibetans are in Ladakh and Himachal not North East unless they are refugees. Ladakh is in Central Asia just like Tibet and is a high elevation region on the Tibetan plateau, North East India is on the complete other spectrum. Don't compare the two.

Brother, because both Ladakh and Southern Tibet in India belong to Chinese territory, they seem incompatible with India. If you have been to Tibet, China, you will know that the appearance, living habits, culture, and architecture of the people there are the same as those of the Tibetan people in China. Tibet has been included in China's territory for 777 years, and southern Tibet is part of China. However, without the knowledge of the Chinese government, the British drew the McMahon Red Line and occupied southern Tibet, which India refused to return after independence. In 1962, a war broke out between China and India in southern Tibet. China won the war and regained southern Tibet, but without a permanent military presence, the area was occupied by Indian settlers. Ladakh was occupied by India because our country was busy with the civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. India's occupation of southern Tibet and Ladakh has no legal or historical basis and will eventually lead to continuous wars in India. . .

@@helpdesk12 China's history is recorded in writing, and China's territory is also recorded in international treaties. Does India have any historical and legal documents regarding these two territories? This is Chinese territory recognized by the United Nations. Are there any legal documents for India's invasion and annexation of Sikkim? ? Why did Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives choose China? Because India likes to control and illegally occupy other countries' territories. To like aggression also means to like war. There will always be civil and foreign wars in India.
