Thank you for this! I've spent HOURS trying to figure out what was wrong with the watch, and now we know that it has NO ANTENNA!! That's what happens with a lot of "Made in China" products I guess...terrible.
I know this video is old, but to clarify: There are 2 versions of this watch: one with gps and another with lbs positioning only (by the use of gps antennas). Also, the square you point out to be the "missing gps antenna" is actually a sensor to detect if the kid has taken off the watch. Another difference is that the gps version has a step counter.
As far as I have seen, there is a GPS and LDP variant. It’s entirely possible that the salesman screwed you up by pointing out that it’s GPS, and no, it’s already LDP. So, my suggestion is to buy a card with the internet ... just a suggestion.
Hello Koastadins I think that the problem of not working the GPS in the clock happens because some factories do not put the GPS module in the clock. I've seen this in other videos and probably have everything with the manufacturer being or not being honest. I have a watch of these, unfortunately what I have does not get GPS, everything else works well, probably does not have the GPS antenna. (It's almost what you show in the video, the green that is on the right. Best Regards Mário

the problem with these watches is that the imei gets block from the carrier, i have one, it works around 2 months then it stops getting signal from carrier, these chinese watches are not homologated so the imei get blocked, i call my carrier and they told me these kind of phone o watch is not permited to use, normally any phone of any brand have to make or get these permission from goverment comunications institute. On other videos of newer smartwatches they are teaching on how to change the imei so it get unlocked again. in my country you have to register the imei and give them the brand of your Phone, in some countries the carriers are the ones than register your phone for you in to the govermente imei data bases. Most of these are for blocking stolen phones. So maybe call your carrier and give them the imei so maybe they can unlock the imei and let that smarthwatch imei get connected to the network
Hi, display not working anymore. it remain dark, but the Q50 watch functions are ok. How can I reset the watch, in order to reinitiate the display ? Thanks
get apn from u r mobile carrier . example apn for speednet moble is "mobilenet". send text message to the watch number to update u r apn. the format to send is available in several youtube videos. pw,523681,apn,apn name,user name,password,MCCMNC# The ones in BOLD are the fix command, where as italics are the values you have to get from your network provider. For network in Malaysia, I got the information from this site here. As I’m using RedOne, the following details are as follows :- Apn name = redone Username = blank Password = blank MCC = 238 MNC = 01 So create a new message to be sent to the watch phone via SMS, and the message should be as follows :- pw,123456,apn,redone,,,23801# or pw,523681,apn,redone,,,23801# Something to take note here is that, make sure that the letter p in pw is small letter. Because initially I couldn’t get it to work as my p was capital letter. Also that every command is separated by a comma (,). If the username, password, MCC and MNC is blank, just continue with the comma and end it with a hashtag(#). Once you received a confirmation SMS back from your watch phone, turn off the watch and turn it back on again. By now you should see that the E is now visible and you can proceed to the next step.
@@tamtam4498 If the circly is empty, then the GPS has no log. If the circly has a dot in it, then the GPS has a fix. Also: The watch needs up to 1 hour to get its 1st fix!
i also bought 2 watches and the gps is not working, i can send messages and call but no maps / gps functionality... I'm sending them back to the supplier now... i've wasted hours!!!
I also bought this watch and 2 sets off sims cards it keeps saying invalid sim card and I bought the one they said to buy and it has no GPS also. Skipjack was no help they only told me to send back to company

Tienes que poner la tarjeta en el teléfono y quitarle el pin, y el reloj a mí se me quedó pillado pidiéndome el pin, tuve que esperar que se le acabará la bateria

Just proximate location, +,- 500 meters, or even more.
LBS is inaccurate. GPS that pinpoint location by satellite are more accurate. It's what people are expecting.
