E30 M3 was my very first car back in 1992. She taught me everything I know about driving car dynamics. She was the best teacher a driver could ever wish.
Seeing the driving footage really made me miss driving my 91 M5. I’ve been driving my wife’s volvo 240 while she’s out of work with covid-19, and with my M5 needing some tlc of its own. Videos like these keep me motivated while it appears the world is falling apart around me. Thank you EAG.
I was buying that car from The actual owner from Finland His restoration process was done with a fine comb and all of its details are to exact factory specs. I still have the original chat log and pics from 2018 when we almost made that deal. Great car Eric!
I had one of these -an evo 1- for 22years. Mine was totally original unrestored and no sunroof non electric window model. feather light and tough as old boots, really super strong reliable cars. Now I still have the e34 m5 3.8litre parked up (with me since 2007), a last of the Mohican 1995 big brake 6 speed beast. sweet cars.
Terrific video, Eric, and a stunning Sport Evo! Keep these videos coming. Most of us are already caught up on our Netflix binge-watching, and your content is as good as it gets for a BMW enthusiast. Thanks!
This very car is restored in Finland, sold to Germany and then sold to US. Throttle cable was like new but that was replaced after leaving Finland, those fastener clips were there also :)
This car was restored in Finland and then sold to Sweden, you even mentioned that in the video, and then it was sold to the States. It's a magnificent car!
Anyone else think the start of the video was slightly surreal ? Just an average day, sat outside on a garden chair, in the pouring rain, dressed in a t shirt and sunglasses ffs lol ? That said, great video, the car is stunning, magnificent, & a dream machine.
When attempting to work on these E30s and executing the restoration to such a level with all parts replaced OEM, is not only breathtaking but the parts-bin build sheet unimaginable, and the cost ......
No where in the comments section nor in the video is it mentioned that in order to execute this type of restoration requires access to parts from BMW that are no longer available. This reinforces the scarcity of the car and further drives up the price. Unfortunately this car will essentially be condemned to a life in a museum, since to drive and incur wear on the car cannot be remedied due a lack of available replacement parts. If only BMW would start parts remanufacture and permit global sales.
Wow this was a great video and amazing car. Thanks for sharing during this crazy time. Please keep these up...I am taking notes and shopping for a e46 and e92 very soon. 👍🏼
There is also one Mauritius blue M3 Sport Evolution in Norway. The story behind that car is it got damaged on the way from the factory and had to be sent back for repairs and a repaint. Was completely re-painted in Mauritius blue from the factory.
Nice M3 $$$. A dream car. It should be on a revolving pedestal. Thanks for the review. I would like to stop by and see your inventory of cars. The video opening was a bit strange. Sitting on a chair in the rain. At first I thought it was a wheel chair. Looking forward to watching more vids.
Great car and video! I just like to add my two cents as an E30 M3 enthusiast. The WBA and WBS issue is quite peculiar since BMW was not consistent with the SE production. The first 182 cars AC79000-AC79181 bear a WBA vin, then they jumped back and forth several times until the end of production where all cars had a WBS vin AC79221-AC79599. Here at EAG we have more of a "glass is half full" mentality...and thankfully we've been staying rather busy selling quite a few cars lately. The market never sleeps. Products and services at the very top 5-10% levels has always been and will always be sought after, independent of the industry. Further, our Rejuvenation workshop is backlogged with several months of work approved and in-process BMWs. We are blessed and thank all our supporting enthusiasts for the opportunity to preserve these special cars!
I bet now that they have the "rejuvenation" shop it doesn't matter if they sell many cars because that is where the real $$$ comes from at regular car dealers. Once they gain even more notoriety even for the astronomical prices, they will prob. do even better so I wish I worked there, but living in OH would be a No sale for me.
It's almost TOO clean and perfect! I'd be afraid to even wash that M3 out of fear of scratching it. I don't think I've ever seen such a "new" 30 year old car.
A vacuum smoke test is one of many standardized tests performed on all EAG inspections. Can’t count how many sets of intakes blocks we have replaced over the years, hundreds for sure.

I get this what a beautiful machine, love it. I have a Mitsubishi Evolution vi GSR mint and I love driving it and it only gets wet when its washed. My mechanic and myself only service it and its oil is changed every 600mls.
Restoring my 1990 M3... engine being rebuilt..waiting on head bolts and oil chain shim... seems like BMW isn’t running their plants right now... stock engine rebuild is an easy 15000$..
I was lucky to have two. The first one H155 something, bought in August 1990 in Brilliant Red, Leather etc a lovely car, but it was damaged before delivery so BMW replaced it. The new one, H3 SJM was picked up from Hunters in Stratford East London on 2/1/91. Great car, identical spec, but sadly it got stolen in 93. Gutted wasn't the word.
Naata 420 I understand all that, it’s still an old bmw, that’s almost gt3 money or even a brand new m3/4 money. I get the nostalgic part and all that but that’s crazy. I’ve owned many M3’s since the 90’s and currently own two M’s, they were fun back then but now I can’t see it being fun unless it’s at a museum somewhere or at a car collection. Any brand car nowadays is faster and even more capable than any of these old M’s. They’re old regardless of how well they were restored.
I owned an 88 E30 M-3 that I bought with 76k highway miles. I put another 100000 miles on it before I stupidly sold it. Best sports car I’ve ever owned, but very pricy to maintain. I’d love to have another one but they’ve appreciated to high in price. How much did this car go for,$125,000+?

@@TheBestblue486 That $800 was twice a year too as it was my daily driver. The reason people are willing to pay so much for them today is scarcity, individuality, racing pedigree, and performance.
