Mentioning one of the actual founders of EAG, Eric Keller. Eric passed a few years ago and the business was bought by the people in this video. Eric deserves to be honored in this video for the legacy he left which is EAG. RIP Eric!!
As a self confessed BMW fanboy I absolutely loved this video. I consider myself lucky to have grown up when so many special BMW were attainable. I recall going into a BMW showroom with an M1 for sale for £37 000! We could buy E30 M3 for around £5K because here in the UK there was a rumour that timing chain tensioner replacement was mega expensive and a week spot in s14 engine design. It wasn't true but eventually people used the later s50 tensioner and people began to realise that the s14 is pretty bullet proof. My road and track E30M3 would rev to 9k (thanks to Schrick cams etc) and one day I would be on track and the next just going to the supermarket. I was flattered that Petrolicious made a video with my E30M3 called The Therapist. Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble on. I guess your enthusiasm is just pretty infectious. Thanks for a great video! Mark
BMWs 90s lineup was insane - E36 M3, E34 M5, E32 750li and E31 CSi all available at the same time. Some of the first engines getting over 100hp/l, manual V12s, pop up headlights, colours like Estoril Blue and Dakar Yellow (there are loads more incredible colours) and companies like Dinan, Alpina, ACSchnitzer and Hartge on the aftermarket side. For me 90’s BMW will always be the best era.
I drive a fully restored Euro spec 1983 BMW e28 520i daily. Imported from Germany, 2 owner car. EAG's immaculate inventory is insane. Would love to see regular updates of their cars, especially the older stuff. ❤
E12 did have an M car. The M535i . It is considered to be the first M badged 5 series. They also offered the "BMW Motorsports" packages in other flavors of E12 as well (though not considered M cars) Also when he mentioned not having a M version other then south America I think he was referring to the E12 MLE edition that was specific to South Africa. It was a homologation racing special E12 with a number of lightweight modifications. Very knowledgeable either way!
Wow. Great video. Loved every minute of it. My father bought his first BMW, a 530i back in 1976 I believe. It was amazing to drive. I've loved them ever since.
Eric from EAG is truly missed.. always looked forward to watching his videos/reviews.. Hopefully the new owners do something similar to what he did.. but my guess is that they won’t 😔
As principle owner/operator that purchased my first M car from Eric in 2006, was their parts supply for years, and over a decade as an employee ending as GM before this position... I strongly disagree. Give us a call! -Mike
Not overpriced. They've got their niche. You want a top notch condition bmw with full OEM parts traced history, relatively low mileage and pristine condition? You need to pay for that. These are not "cars" as most enthusiasts see them and think, oh yeah that's overpriced! No...these are the M 1:1 diecast models you always wanted and dreamed about. Toys for adults. Lovely! Thanks EAG for contributing to keep all these gems in the shape they deserve.
There’s a reason if you were to ask any BMW fan where to find the most overpriced M cars in the world 99.9% of them are going to say EAG. And there’s good reason for that.
@@axe2grind244 you still don't get it. They don't target most of BMW fans. They sell what that .1% wants. Try to find the best examples of many M cars for sale in the market and you'll see. For their inventory size, there is a big chance you'll end up there if you want the best one.
Enjoyed the older BMW's especially the M1. EAG should look for some ultra rare BMW's that were manufactured in South Africa by BMW South Africa in the 1980's. Naming the 1982 735i with the M88 engine from the M1, the E30 333i with the 3.2l M30B32 6 cylinder engine and finally the 1976 530MLE that was built for homolgation.
Larry, 🤬 It’s an M1!! 😂😂😂 It’s good to see the one and only, the man the myth the legend, Larry Chen involved in the BMW world. Don’t miss Bimmer Invasion 2024, Los Angeles Edition. September 7th, somewhere in LA!!
The crazy part is that I would pass by EAG all the time on Kemper Rd heading to Tri-County Mall years ago. I Never put 2 and 2 together that the E92 collection on Adam LZ's channel was the same person! The work they do is truly next level.
I'm only interested in the 2002, I had a 1976 BMW 2002 in silver and blue two tone, the engine had sat for years with the head off and the cylinders were rusted and pitted, full of water. I bought the car, restored the engine completely and drove it, it was one of the best cars I've ever owned! That little 4 pot would rip! I put 4 SU carbs on it, rebuilt everything inside the engine and all new gaskets and seals, everything new and tuned perfectly. That car would burn rubber through all the gears standing still it had so much power it was actually scarey! The handling of the car was anything but scarey with pirelli sticky tires and those cool ultra light factory mag wheels it inspired confidence in the corners at high speed. Truly a " driving machine"
Should have honored Eric Keller the guy who started and owned eag . In your video . He is a bmw legend was a friend of mine on. Facebook for years met him at October fest .
Yes, it's something I'm gonna work on with Drew next time I am in Ohio as I've never met Eric. It's absolutely incredible what he built and we want to pay respect to that.
I'm excited to hear you are part of EAG! I've been following their inventory and growth for years. One of my favorite cars I've ever had was an e39 M5 which I put 180k mikes on. I had lots of fun at Putnam Park and Mid-Ohio in that car! Drive one then drive your Skyline and do a comparison video. Yell if you need help with anything when you are there. I'd love to help with a night shoot!
Never, really been a B M W person, but this was very enlightening. I might just be on the wagon now, maybe not an E A G purchase, but definitely an M purchase.
Tks Larry just stumbled on your site...thanks I"m a BMW Fan had 2002's and raced SCCA BMW's. This dealer is a find as I've been looking for 2013 M3. Thanks much

Congrats, very cool. If Larry ever forgets how to work a camera, maybe we’ll see him doing rejuvies at EAG now. 😂 Hoped to see a Z4 M Coupe, maybe they’re drying up.
M1 Look absolutely Gorgeous. You're a Legend Larry. Thank you for showing us a variety of cars video. Amazing how all these cars are spotlessly shinny.
Ok, I'm bouncing out early, Larry's stopping at every E90 and skipping over the _actual_ interesting stuff 😅 (I'm stopping at the frozen white one, so it looks like I made it ⅘ the way through)
Why didn’t he correct Larry and educate him on the monumental historical disparity between a 1M and a M1? Haha. Well Done on the insertion of how important it is on the edit. As I would be screaming out loud like a nut at the screen at Larry being aBMW NERD. My favourite video ever!
Welcome to Ohio, Larry!!! If you are ever up in Cleveland, you'll have to check out our shop here at dorkspeed garage! (Shameless plug! I know!!! lol.)But for real, EAG is a great business. Been a fan for a long time. RIP Eric. :(
PLEASE make a video on the E36 ALMS car that was sitting in the back. It's easily one of the best BMW race cars ever made and i just want to know more about it
I can’t watch the rest of the video because I’m sick to my stomach because I owned 1988 M3 outright and sold it to buy my First Home back in the early 90s
Actually, the e34 M5 was the first 4-door M sedan that had rear bucket seats. It was an option, but they had them. The e28 M5 did not have a 3-person configuration in the rear. In fact, EAG currently has for sale a Brilliant Red over Silver Grey Leather e34 M5 w/ rear bucket seats.

E39’s are my favorite…. Talk about a serious road trip car. The M5 wagons were definitely my dream car, short of a F1 McLaren. The stock supply they have is mind blowing.. wow 🙀😳
Don’t ever apologize for these long videos.
We need more of these 😂😂
Ditto! Thanks for all the great content Larry!
EVER! ESPECIALLY WITH BMW CONTENT …. actually this video was too short 😂😂
To me this was like 5 min. I can go for 2 hrs😅❤bmw

Couldn't agree more. He was a great guy and passionate about BMW
So true was a friend of mine on Facebook for years remember seeing his m1 at October fest bmwcca show .
Eric was a legend. Him and Evan built an amazing business. These guys are lucky to own and continue their legacy.
I went there a week before Eric passed. Evan took me on a personal tour of the smaller location; absolutely rad guy.
I agree, but you can see a picture of him at the wall at around 3:08 and again at 3:45.
This was essentially a huge advertisement video and I enjoyed every minute of it
😂😂. The M1 edit was the on point.
Totally excuses sitting on the couch lol
i think you mean 1M🤣

wish he never rode motorcycles and stuck to his bmws RIP
Glad BMW has never been afraid of color! Looks like a giant bowl of awesome jelly beans.
Love the cars EAG has but the prices are outrageous
Thank you Larry! Look forward to your next visit. We can drive 1 M car ... or even a M1!
