One thing I love about my 5 burner i just got is you ignite 1 burner and it will then light them all without using the ignitor.. My old no name brand had an ignitor per burner (3 burner) so I had to click it on each knob turn. This one has like a fuel rail that 1 burner can light the next after lit.. Awesome grill, got mine on clearance for $112 at my local Lowes. What a steal, I imagine they had overstock of this model from summer and needed the warehouse/floor space is the only reason I can think why its dirt cheap.. It was actually cheaper than the charbroil performance 2 burner haha

So true. And I'm not certain if it was by design or not, but that long strip of fire can be used for a good sear!

Michael, thank you for the tips on using this grill. I am going to buy it for the 2018 grilling season in Wichita, KS. Your tips are very helpful for a rookie griller. Hope all is well! -Chris

I have the exact same grill minus the side burner. I was also confused about the front part of the grill being hotter. Mine has yellow flames in the front and it concerned me a bit. I noticed yours has yellow flames in the front as well. I didn't know they designed these to have a hotter sear section in the front. the rest of the burners have a blue flame with yellow tips which is supposed to be normal. the larger yellow flames in the front is what concerned me. glad i am not the only one who noticed this.

Wrap your frozen corn in some aluminum foil, with some butter.....it steams the corn, and turns out nicely

After I brush my grill I give it a little spray with the water bottle. BBQ looks good, considering getting this one thanks for the video.

When banging out a bunch of burgers I always have half burners on and half off and do it assembly line, sear up about 8 on direct heat each side, move em to other sode where heat is off and throw 8 more on direct heat.. Once youve seared and flipped then rotate the burgers off heat into a pan or of not finished move them to top rack and keep going. Direct heat, indirect heat, top rack or off onto a plate. Banged out 40 burgers easily, if you fill it full of burgers on high heat all burners you're gona get mad flare ups..
A few years back I actually started doing skin on chicken indirect until cooked through and then sear so fat renders, i was tryin to sear skin on chicken and then off heat and got a lot of flare ups from the fat in the skin.. Always cook indirect and then sear last for chicken, it'll save you headaches..

Michael K. Wrap your corn in foil. Throw some butter and salt in with it. Heat it up real good let it steam inside the foil. Takes about 30min

Hey man I got a question, can we assemble this grill without both sides? I have a limited space so I either buy small 2 burner or buy 4 burner and assemble without the sides.
    Thanks

    • @tlogank

Bilguun Byambadorj you can leave off the right side, but probably not the left.

For corn to taste amazing on the grill rap it in tinfoil and put butter in the tinfoil

Do the outside of these rust easy?

    • @CarolinaMiC
      @CarolinaMiC 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Christian Liriano nope. I haven't seen any rust and I'm in Minnesota uncovered for 2 years. However, the grates seem to rust right away. I think constant oiling may be the key to keeping them fresh.

The wire brush thing is stupid, just make sure there's no sort of piece of shiny metal where your gonna cook stuff, simple as that, and if your eating and you feel something pull it out don't swallow it like an idiot

    • @notyad5026

the grill grates on this model are porcelain coated cast iron. if you use a wire brush to clean them the porcelain coating will get scratched and wear off over time. this will cause the grates to rust. a nylon brush is better and safer for this design.
