How To Fix "Format The Disk in Drive Before You Can Use it" | Windows 10 Drive

- Here in this video, Video Tutorial I will show you guys how to fix Without Formatting fix You need to format the disk in drive. Sometimes our Windows 10 Drive showing You need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it. Do you want to format it? E:\ is not accessible. The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted.
Commands:
chkdsk e: /f
chkdsk e: /r

I tried using this, I'm told the first boot sector is unreadable or corrupt, it's unable to determine volume version and state and aborts chkdsk.

Hello man! I have a 1T wd elements hdd, after inserting it into a laptop with windows 11 I could no longer access the information.
It asked me to format it and I think that some drivers are broken.
I did step 1 from your video, the command "chkdsk e: /f" and I've been waiting for 5 hours and it appears "file record segment 2B40,2B41,2B42 etc is unreadable.
What do I do in this situation? it is at step 11000 of 63000 that the process is finished. I am waiting for your help!

One 1 hour tech support text chat with Microsoft support, gets nowhere.. Agrees to settle on the idea of taking pc to shop (and figures will likely have to reformat).

@@babanpreetsingh73so you need a 8GB USB stick or a larger one doesn’t matter 64 124 etc. so you’ll install windows tool on it run setup it’s going to ask you cd or USB stick drive select stick drive and USB location if it shows or asks. After wait a couple of mins so the setup is done after restart the pc and go in boot menu but press very quick on F8 del or the button that shows you the button to enter the Boot Menu. After go to boot and you’ll see you ssd’s or hdd’s and stick drive. You’ll need to select and put the stick drive in first where it shows you SATA1- 2 3 etc. maybe it’s different idk but place it in first reboot you pc and it will automatically put you in the Windows installer. After you’ll need to complete the questions if it asks you if you have product key say I don’t have and keep answering the questions. When you get to the windows partitions you’ll see your ssd or hdd press on it and press delete and it’ll show you the delete partition press on it again and press on format format it and save it if it shows you to save and exit the Windows installer. I had some old mechanical drives sitting around and I decided to try and see what's on them. I was having many issues trying to access the contents within windows and this fixed it! However much of the data seems to be missing once I was able to see the drive in explorer so I'll still be using data recovery software it looks like. 10/10 for the video, no bullshit and straight to it.

Done, at first screen says CHKDSK RAW is not available, so i remove the disk and insert again, and all errors show, at the last paragraph choose Y on
