Keep it up bro. I just hit 225 for the first time just a few days ago. Also if you would learn how to arch you'll for sure hit it.

It took me 4 months , but i was already stronger than average when starting. But 315 seems far 😭 on bench but i think i might hit this year

Seems like we are on a similar journey.. I tried to go from 185 to 315 in one year. Only got to 275, but just missed lockout on 285 a few days ago (13 months). 315 isn't as far as you think. You can do it if you got to 225 in 4 months..

What program are you doing? Seems a bit slow judging by your timeline..

Shoulder injury messed everything up I would’ve hit 225 by 18 months which is reasonable. It takes most people 2 years to get to 225! To me me it’s not about how long it will take and just being patient and one day I will reach my goal

@shahrukhshah1421 In my first days, I couldn't even bench the 125, and in one month, I do 225 for reps and going for the 300 pounds in 2 months probably

@@shahrukhshah1421 Yeah injuries suck, but on a realistic side, if you are dedicated and got the right programming, most able- bodied guys should be able to do it in 6-12 months. You have to be under the bar 10-15 times per week though.

@LRandleIcon I know that sounds funny, but yes in one month

I’m going to sound like a bit of an ass even though that’s not my intention but something has to be off for him to take this long to hit 225 whether it’s dieting, consistency, intensity, or overall lack of training tricep/ rear delts, etc.

Im almost at the 2 year mark, I started as my one rep max being 135 (about a month into the gym) and am now at 215 as of a little while ago, and can rep 185 for 5. I have about a month until I hit the two year mark so I think ill be able to get 225 by then. I've attempted and failed twice, its definitely a mental battle!

no two people are the same. Some may train and never hit 225, others might blow past it in record time. It's more than just training, and as noted dude hurt his shoulder which put him out for 4 months, which means even longer recoup time after getting back into it.

@@jeremyc7825 No two people are the same is the correct answer ! most people reach a serious sticking point before they ever reach 225 .... 225 will be easy for some but not for most ! A smaller lighter person it will be harder than someone who weighs over 200 pounds ! Just because it is easy for a small minority , doesnt make it easy for everybody ! Genetics is the biggest determining factor of how strong you can get .. Genetics is huge ! Also depending on how thick your torso is and how long your arms are .... There are a lot of factors
