    From what I’ve heard of it so far, it contradicts everything that spiritual leaders tell us. As long as we focus on the end result, we don’t need to know the “how” because then we feel disheartened when we don’t come up with an answer and it also limits the ways in which the universe can bring things to us. It’s better to leave the how to the universe. It also shouldn’t feel like an effort because again we move out of alignment. You can discipline your life and mind without paying 1k for a course, but fair enough if you can get the money back.

    • @MeecoMucoTiger
      @MeecoMucoTiger 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      that's what Vishen also say in mindvalley. Most of successful people use "Unconscious competence". It's like you set up a goal out of your confort zone and all have to do is just relax and unconscious take you there.. kind of thing. But this Jon&Missy are unique in the way that they use "Conscious competence" to reach their goals.
      And I am the one who trusted the "unconscious competence" and literally did nothing and achieved nothing for years lol
      so it's just we need to find whatever works for each of us. otherwise we end up finish our life doing nothing lol just like me lol

    • @emdianax
      @emdianax 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      c c I suppose it’s about finding a balance, knowing exactly what you want and taking the action when you feel inspired to do so. Either way, if you live in the end result and your feelings match the desired outcome, it has no choice but to come into fruition and you will unconsciously do the work.

      I don't know ANYONE who has been successful - in the long run - who didn't expend a TON of effort and work out "how" to make it happen. Who are these spiritual leaders that you are talking about? People selling a course and creating their "success" from your hard-earned money?

      Hi Priyanka! Lovely to meet you. As Wouter Manders mentioned below, Lifebook has a "Free After Completion" model. This means that, although you need to pay the initial accountability deposit (usually around $500), you can get a full refund of this amount after you complete the course. I explain the refund process in my video. I hope this helps although I fully appreciate that getting the initial $500 might still be a challenge for many.

    • @The_Why_Girl
      @The_Why_Girl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sherif Zacca! Very good question! In fact, I'm just recording an update on my Lifebook journey and I'm addressing this very question there. I've also already addressed it in a couple of previous comments so I'll copy some of my responses here.
      Lifebook has a "Free After Completion" business model and they openly state that the reason for it is their mission "to put a Lifebook into the hands of a million people worldwide." You can read more about this here: faqs.mindvalley.com/en/articles/3694957-lifebook-online-s-free-after-completion-model
      The reason behind the initial "$500 accountability deposit" (this is what Lifebook calls it; it's not a "price") is to encourage everyone to complete the course. This is the exact wording from the Lifebook website: "Enroll in the program and submit a refundable $500 accountability deposit (this is our way of encouraging you to start and finish the program)." They also say: "Lifebook Online is - as far as we know - the only personal transformation program that offers a refund just for completing it. It’s an extraordinary guarantee on an extraordinarily life-changing experience - and we hope you take advantage of it." For further information, head here: www.mindvalley.com/lifebook/online?
      To sum up, it's not unethical to ask for a refund after completing Lifebook Online and Lifebook is very open about it. However, I agree that I didn't make it clear in the video (hence I'm recording an update). Also, in the future, when I'm in a position to pay for the course, I'm planning to complete it again and keep it for ever. And, of course, I want to keep promoting it in the meantime as my way of paying off for the value I received.
      Hope this clears things up!

      The Why Girl Hey. I want to thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my comment and for your detailed response which definitely clears things up. Hi Why-girl, thank you for your review. I am 57 and have always dreamed and to some extend pursued a singing carreer. I think I still want to reach musical goals but I have too much directions I want to take and I am now going through 3 courses at a time (a course on how to promote music online, a self-discipline course and a government-sponsored outplacement-course to help me find a job I like) Each course teaches me a lot and I have positive results with all of them. Hi Frank! Thank you for sharing your story! I have a feeling that you've answered your own question when you said "I have too much directions I want to take". You know that asking for a refund without having a genuine reason for being unhappy with the product is fraud, right? A kind of low-level theft? Are the very least, it's morally questionable...

    • @The_Why_Girl
      @The_Why_Girl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Hi Andrea and thank you for sharing your thoughts. Whilst this may be true for many products and services, Lifebook works slightly differently. At the time I was purchasing the course, Lifebook openly stated that their mission is to help people transform their lives and this was the reason for OFFERING THE COURSE FOR FREE. The reason behind the initial "$500 accountability deposit" (this is what Lifebook calls it; it's not a "price") is to encourage everyone to complete the course. In fact, this is the exact wording from the Lifebook website: "Enroll in the program and submit a refundable $500 accountability deposit (this is our way of encouraging you to start and finish the program)." They also say: "Lifebook Online is - as far as we know - the only personal transformation program that offers a refund just for completing it. It’s an extraordinary guarantee on an extraordinarily life-changing experience - and we hope you take advantage of it." For further information Andrea, head here: www.mindvalley.com/lifebook/online?
      To sum up, I can say with confidence that it was not a fraud, low-level theft or it wasn't even morally questionable of me to start the course knowing that most likely I'll be asking for a refund later. However, you raised an interesting point and I agree that I didn't make it clear in the video. Also, in the future, when I'm in a position to pay for the course, I'm planning to complete it again and keep it for ever. And, of course, I want to keep promoting it in the meantime as my way of paying off for the value I received.
      Hope this clears things up!

    • @bharatarora2230
      @bharatarora2230 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @The_Why_Girl
      @The_Why_Girl  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Aditi! Great to meet you and thank you for your question. I believe that Lifebook is for anyone who wants to gain more clarity on what they want out of life (including career), irrespective of their age or the stage they're at. You’ll be looking at 12 different areas of your life, as Bharat mentioned, and you might find that, what you discover in one category, might completely change the way you view others and your life as a whole. So, as an example, you might find that now you’re deciding between law and design and, after completing your Lifebook, you might want to look at something totally different! So stay open minded :)
      If you can afford the initial deposit, and you have a gut feeling that this is something you want to do, remember that you can claim your money back after completion because Lifebook has a “free after completion” model and offers returns for simply finishing the programme. If you do it, stay open to what it brings you (and give me a shout! I’d love to find out how your journey develops!)
      Gooood luck!! Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to know. You can read more about the “free after completion” model here: faqs.mindvalley.com/en/articles/3694957-lifebook-online-s-free-after-completion-model

    • @The_Why_Girl

      Love 2 Learn- Its a story not a subject I know the pain! But I think that investing in your self is always worth the money *as long as* you use that investment later. In other words, if you put into action what you will learn, you can easily multiply the money you had invested. So, I'd suggest reframing what you said: *you* will change the trajectory of your life. The course will be merely a tool to support you along the way. Let me know if you do get the membership and what courses you end up doing!

There's obviously a lot of additional material that aids you in finding the answers but I feel it would be unfair of me to give everything away (quite impossible too) and I don't have access to the materials anymore because I decided to ask for a refund. In short, I don't think I can help here, I'm afraid.

      @@jyotisingh6419 hey again! Are you looking for tips on finding answers to the four questions that frame the Lifebook course? If so, personally, I found it very useful to have examples of other people's statements and beliefs that were included in the course ("the wisdom of the Lifebook community" as Jon and Missy - the founders - call it). Of course, access to this would mean you'd need to pay for the course so, if you can't go down that route yet, I'd suggest becoming more sensitive to the knowledge and opinions you surround yourself with and start recording what you agree/disagree with. Perhaps get a notebook or a start a document on a computer where you will be cataloguing everything you come across that you would like to become part of your life philosophy - your Lifebook. This can be things you've read, watched in a movie or maybe even something your friend said to you in a conversation. Every time you have that "aha moment", take note of it. The other day, a friend of mine said that she recently decided to refuse reacting to subtext and I thought that was brilliant and exactly what I want to adopt in m life. This is now part of my Lifebook. Beeest of luck on your Lifebook journey!

      santanubhatt78 lovely to meet you! I decided to get refund as at the time I had other financial priorities. However, I do think it’s worth keeping the material (which primarily are the videos) as it helps to further develop your Lifebook in the future. Also, it’s worth noting that, if you decide to keep the course, for an extra dollar you get access to the next part called Mastery: extra videos an coaching calls with Jon and Missy. Here you will develop a plan on how to action your Lifebook’s vision. So, essentially, your deposit (plus one dollar later) will get you two parts of the course, which is really cool. Either way, if you do start the course, you will have six weeks risk-free to decide if you think it’s worth keeping the material. I hope this helps!

      Hi Ania and thank you for your comment. It's something that I've already addressed in another comment below so I'll paste some of my response here to answer your question. It’s an extraordinary guarantee on an extraordinarily life-changing experience - and we hope you take advantage of it." For further information, head here: www.mindvalley.com/lifebook/online?
      To sum up, Lifebook's business model is very different from other course providers'. However, I agree that I didn't make it clear in the video. Also, in the future, when I'm in a position to pay for the course, I'm planning to complete it again and keep it for ever. And, of course, I want to keep promoting it in the meantime as my way of paying off for the value I received.
      Hope this clears things up!

I didn't do a great job at making this clear in this video but I recorded an update where I explain this a bit further (you can watch it here: th-cam.com/video/TYXTFtMpMIA/w-d-xo.html). I've also addressed this in several previous comments so I'll copy some of my responses here: Lifebook has a "Free After Completion" business model and they openly state that the reason for it is their mission "to put a Lifebook into the hands of a million people worldwide." You can read more about this here: faqs.mindvalley.com/en/articles/3694957-lifebook-online-s-free-after-completion-model

      Finally, I was self-unemployed when I enrolled in the programme and wasn't in a position to pay the accountability deposit and keep the programme forever - hence I decided to ask for a refund. I haven't been through the course yet, but I've done my reaserch (official FAQs). If you ask for the refund you keep your lifebook (that means your templates and what you put into them) but you can't watch the videos anymore.

      Hi Arela (I love your name!) and thank you for your question. Lucas below is right: you can keep the templates and what you wrote in them (i.e. your Lifebook) forever. You don't even need to print them because you'll keep the original files so you can keep working on them. You even keep access to the Facebook group. Asking for refund means only loosing access to the videos and life calls. Hope this helps but let me know if you have more questions.

      Hi Eduardo! It's lovely to meet you. GREAT question 🙌 The hardest part was finding the time to do the course. I was detailed in my vision and would often spend 2-3 hours on one chapter. As for your second question, I never cosidered completing Lifebook in terms of failure or success. I rather thought of it as giving me direction and I knew that, wherever I'd go, there would be both failure and success. Have you done the course too? What was the herdest thing for you?
