In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a Hotspot and authenticate users using a Radius Server. This hotspot configuration will enable you to manage your users, set time land bandwidth limits.
You will need any one of these Mikrotik routerboard router for this tutorial:

Thanks! First time I've gotten hotspot to work under MikroTik. I had to add a rule to my INPUT firewall chain to permit connections from 127.0.0.1 at the top of my firewall list before it would connect to the local radius server.

I have a question, how yo redirect the users devices to the hotspot.status page when they are connected to the WiFi so they can give their credentials?
Cause I follow every step, but when I go and connect from my laptop, it don't redirect automatically, and I have to manually put in the URL.

Hi, i'm a huge fan of your tutorials and mentorship. I would like first to thank you a lot for the great and humbling job you do in mentoring and educating most of us especially through your youtube channel. I also want to ask for help. I use mikrotik router for client management but would also like to advertise my facebook, twitter pages and websites through mikrotik. I have able to do the same with the HOTSPOT MODE but I use STATIC MODE and don't feel like reverting to the hotspot only for this reason. My question is if there's a way to advertise in Static Mode same manner as HotSpot Mode. Thanks in advance.

Great video as usual. Note to others, this video assumes the firewall entries are blank. If you have the default recommended firewall in place, you will face the following issues.
First issue and solution: http 404 error to accessing user manager. I added the "bridge.hotspot" bridge to the "LAN" address list (in interface list) to resolve this issue.
Second issue and solution: RADIUS server not connected when logging in to hotspot. I added firewall rule accept source address 127.0.0.0/24 in input chain.

I have Radius and userman setup following the video but am not using wifi. Im using port 5 on tik hex rtr. When I connect to that port it attempts to but wont bring me to the login page. Did I miss a step?

I would like to use mikrotik as Hotspot service and radiaus server for ruckus controller.
There will be around 400 users use same time. Which model you like to suggest.
From the list above it seems that the cAP ac access point will not work for this tutorial as expected, right ? The issue here is that the SSID is being displayed ok, but the iphone keeps trying to connect with the identification "No Internet connection". Stuck at the point where you are suggesting to call in the browser the `192.168.6.1/userman`. I suppose you call this to a device (mobile phone or laptop) *after* you have connected to the SSID (for example here "Hotspot"), is this assumption correct ?

Hi TKSJa can i add userman to my hAP mini cause iv tried by dragging the packet over it shows its there but when i reboot my Mikrotik then it still doesnt show, but on my packet list it shows hotspot do you know why and perhaps can help please will be greatfull thanks

I was following your tutorial applying configurations on mikrotik wap lte kit 1 rbwapr-2nd-lte, however, after rebooting when I was trying to access the userman manager profile the router started failing to reconnect to winbox. I tried to reset it and I am failing to get into the router. Initially I was to use this the LAN to give internet access to another access point.

Hi, the tutorial was wonderful. I created my own user manager account. But the problem am having is. The hotspot login page is not coming for am client in their phones and computer. If you can help correct me on that error I may made. My version is 6.49.5

If I want to manage another wireless devices, with RADIUS capability enabled, connected to an Ethernet port, do I have to bridge the port to hotspot as you did with the wlan? Or what should I do? By the way a already do it with another software but I have to keep a computer on, and I see using a MikroTik router more convenient.

Is the Radius option on the menu where you create the Radius server or is that in userman? I'm totally confused and most tutorials only shows how to make a router with built-it Wireless a hotspot. If you just can give me the rough steps to understand the process, or a link to tutorial or video I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, i am attempting to do the following, Setup a MikroRik router( wAP series) with Hotspot captive portal for events. (not connected to power or computer) Will be using solar power. Now I need to setup a Free Hotspot that requires a user to tick a box ( custom look and feel landing page) to get free data, 500megs or 30 min free whichever comes first. They can only get free wifi once every 24 hours. once logged in they go to selected webpage, would be nice to see tutorial videos in order to do this
