This is undoubtedly a classic, I remember watching it right before heading to Iraq, my first deployment. Me and my dad cheered so much, I miss him dearly. Names I will forever remember, Cedric Cobbs, Matt Ryan, and Hunter Henry. And now Sam Pittman & KJ Jefferson are doing what Houston Nutt and Cedric Cobbs did in 2000 Cotton bowl breaking a 15 year drought of a bowl win, 7 year drought of bowl win 2022 Outback Bowl. I’m hoping for a power house team like in 2011, ending with a National title soon hopefully.
I feel ya. My dad passed away Dec. 17th of last year. Arkansas football is how we spent time bonding . This football season will be a tough one. I'll honestly probably just catch the post game scores. Dad died of suicide. And that just leaves you feeling guilty with a lot of unanswered questions. Almost like a cold case. I'm sorry about your pop. I feel the hurt.
@@danielspicer2359 yeah he was murdered, but when I retire this year I’m moving back home to Arkansas to get to the bottom of it. Sorry for your pops as well, maybe we will see them again.
The guy who sent it to me recorded it on HD when it aired and actually sent it to me on multiple discs that had been able to handle the HD. Idk his exact process, but he did a great job with it!!
Hillis often gets overshadowed a bit by Darren McFadden and Felix Jones, but that man was on a different level. Watching this highlight video, Peyton looks like he may have already been the best player on the field - as a FRESHMAN.
Hey my dad had played Arkansas baseball from 89-91 his name is Phillip Stidham and I was wanting to know how I could go about getting some film of him or if there’s a way to access that? He’s inducted in the Arkansas sports hall of fame and thought it would be cool seeing!

How Arkansas managed to never win an SEC and National Title with Matt Jones, Peyton Hillis, DeKori Birmingham, Jeb Huckabee, Marcus Monk, etc... Can only be answered in 2 words; houston nuttsack.
This was the second and last time that Arkansas beat Bama in back-to-back seasons. The first was in 1997 and 1998. By the time Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2007, after Arkansas beat the Tide in 2006 (Ark's last win) the Ark-Ala series was dead even, thanks to a vacated win in 2005 and a forfeit in 1993 by Bama because they cheated! Since then? It's been all Tide and the series record has been heavily skewed in favor of Alabama, 22-8.
@@coachemup8185 Man, I liked some Houston Nutt. More exciting than Bobby Petrino's time there. But I do wonder where the magic came from Nutt or Malzahn?
Fingers crossed for a new Arkansas vs. Alabama upload this season.
Hopeful!!! I’ll be there!!!
Man that looked incredible! So crisp and clear. That Razorback Red was poppin!
Matt Jones could flip a field in the blink of an eye. I miss watching that man play.
I loved watching Jones, Monk, Hillis with the Razorbacks.
First memories as a Razorback fan, loved that era!
Matt Jones had to be the most frustrating player to watch for fans of other teams. "Deceptively fast" has never applied more to another human being.
His first TD in this game had to have Tide fans spitting nails.
I remember laughing my ass off. Matt Jones just about ran a complete circle.
They hit so much harder back then I stg
This brings back some great memories. Jones was awesome.

10:30 Matt Jone: “oh it was 3rd down?”
Love these old HD uploads!
Love these remasters. This looks great
I think those were some of the best looking Arkansas uniforms
Jersey's looked good, but I hated the massive stripe on the pants.
That guy covering Peyton Hillis is now the Head Coach of the Houston Texans..
Miss the old/early HD broadcasts from CBS. Very little screen clutter and small scorebug.
Damn 2004!!! Big throwback!
Remember the end of season miracle?
The quality of this video is unbelievable especially for 2004! Was this a direct HD rip? Would love to know because it’s amazing.

Back when we would beat them every other year. Used to love that matchup.
If only they'd rehire Mike Shula or Mike DuBose.

I think your right. Arky almost beat Bama last year.
bama will win by 20 minimum. i'd bet any amount of money.
People always say this and here we are 16 years later
Frank Broyles was a moron for not letting Matt Jones play all 4 sports for 4 years. The man was a once in a lifetime athlete.
Arkansas. Bigger. Stronger. Faster. Coming to Gumper bama soon
Wish the Hogs would go back to the single thick strip on the pants. Like that look.
The last time the Hogs beat Bama. I believe they have a chance to win this season!! 🐗
Next to last time, won in 2006.

How do you do this?
I got lucky that someone on Twitter sent me a copy.
@@WARMACHINE2013 can you please upload the full games? Or I could upload them for you if you would like!
Arkansas has never beat Saban in his Alabama era. Only beat him once while he was at LSU. I think only once..
Nutt got him twice...2000 and 2002, both in War Memorial.

Jones was a LOAD!!!
Oh yeah we actually used to beat Bama in football
If J'ville had just took the time to develop M. Jones a little bit, instead of making a receiver.."duel threat QB!!".
He was a crack dealer and user.

Yep I was a senior. Seems like yestery.
I have a signed ball from Coach Nutt
give me $20 and I ll take it off your hands😆
