Her demeaner was that of a small child who had been told, "no", by their parent, so they respond by continually asking the same question again in that really annoying tone, in the hope that the parent will eventually just give in to shut them up.

Its a little more serious than that the DS has just exposed herself to a civil claim for battery which will cost the MET probably 3 grand or more. CRIMBODGE channel here has been taken down but he has an excellent Website and for a £5 explains exactly how to do it. Hit em in the pocket they will start making sure that their officers enforce the law as its written in the Statute (Gov.uk).

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂the look on her face when the educated officer in uniform told her "you can if you want but I personally won't be" quality 👍
If the officers are reading this, this is why people audit, to hold you accountable for your actions and record any and all interactions with law enforcement. You are not law makers you are law enforcers, just because you don't like something it does not mean we have to obey your directives. Learn the law and stop abusing legislation set out to detain and arrest criminals, they were not designed for you to obtain details because you feel like it.
Someone needs to get a petition going to get all police officers in the uk covered with their own public liability insurance so when we sue them for assault and false imprisonment it will be them that foot the bill and not the tax payer.

@@stoopingfalcon891 You got that right. sarge is God to the ranks below and whipping boy to the senior ranks above and thats a direct quote from a real sarge long since retired. Get the wrong side of your sargents (2 per relief) and they could make life hell for you. I got a bollocking from my sergeant after a Letter of Commendation had been couriered in from a grateful father whose young son I had found. My crime was whilst recounting what had happened to my Duty Inspector (Reporting on letter to Chief Constable) I stated that I had used my own initiative and the circumstances to deduce that the boy wouldn't be far away from his home address. He was found by me about 15 yards from their boundary fence some 4 1/2 hours after going missing from school. Sarge was at the school with most of the relief which had been well searched by the kids and teachers at the school after they discovered that he was missing.

I think she'd need more than "you're a man with s camera" to arrest you under section 43.
It's not evidence of any wrongdoing and she'd need much more to get a conviction under terrorist legislation.
A jury would laugh at that sort of stupidity.
You should consider buying an old, but serviceable, phone/camera to do these audits in case they do seize it as evidence.

Really I think police need to get educated on what powers they really have and haven't got before jumping in at the deep end. If they are concerned about hostile reconnaissance from a man with a camera, why are they not concerned about the building across the street? Some terrorist can rent one the rooms on the second floor, set up cameras and record the ins and outs of the police 24/7. This female copper and her male companion did not adhere to covid restrictions. She was very aggressive and eager to go hands on while saying she had the power to do so but never citing a specific law or statute. She also didn't know what he was doing was legal. She may have the right to question behavior but she lacks the ability to assess the situation and showed no regard to individual rights of kolee.

The Detective should be demoted to Tea Bag Lady, no clue of what Detective actually means yet titled as that - what a damn blunder. People put in positions if power by people who have no clue of reality n the law should not be running an institution that is clueless about the law it enforces..

How did that DS pass the promotion exam and her other detective colleague. She came out with all the usually platitudes about hostile reconnaissance and the filming of undercover officers. She had a break of luck when clued up uniformed officer turned up and tried to advise her in a discrete way that he would not participate in any way if she used a Section 43 Terrorism Act 'Stop and Search' . Taboo if a PC contradicts a sargent (God within the forces). Still by then the illegal detention and battery had taken place so a nice earner for you for a days work. Still its the only way to get the Police to respect the rights of the citizens that they swore to SERVE AND PROTECT and to get them to actually learn the laws that they are paid to enforce. Sadly things haven't improved from 50 years ago !
