This was really cool! I kind of expected it to be longer... But you can always make a part 2 :D In case You make another part please include Marwans C1 from his Dubstep „Deck the halls“ and Clap it up Dan‘s Eb1 from the Down to the honkeytonk cover. And of course you can use a couple of clips from me again ;)
Marrwans C1? By the way, I'm gonna make subharmonic series compilation(I'm working on the title haha) 2nd - 7th subharmonics:D UPD: probable in few days or after the next video
so I don't necessarily know how you would determine this but "surprise subharmonics" like you don't expect either the singer to do it, or you were expecting it in the song
This technique has gotten me down to a B -1. It was interesting, because I thought it was just a B0; until I seen on the spectrum analyzer it going from a B1 to a B0 then B -1, while the B1 disappeared and the B0 was there at the same time as the B -1.
@@dhruvagarwal, I use a spectrum analyzer to be 100% sure with subharmonics. With chest notes, I have been doing this so long -- been a bass singer for over 30 years -- I can sing E1-F2 with near perfect pitch.
@@johndeeregreen4592 i am not a singer just intrigued by different vocal techniques like subharmonics, polyphonic etc but i don't know how to know what note(s) i am producing . So can you suggest any app or something through which i may know the note. Thanks man for your patience
Yeah, they are. The fact that we have the amazing JMB as a tenor hitting these low notes with 1st and 2nd subs is just incredible! Also I just realized you hit a second sub, very clean!
I'm 16, I've been doing subharmonics for 3 months now, and am already diving into second subs. I manage to go down to a B0 in first subharmonics (I have a low chest range down to G#1), have gotten clean C1s and B0s with second subharmonic, and have gone lower than that too, just I can no longer track the pitch, even with perfect pitch. 😬
RTS, I JUST FOUND UR CHANNEL. AND I FOUND OUT I HAVE BEEN DOING 2ND SUBHARMONICS BEFORE I EVEN LEARNED HOW TO DO THE NORMAL ONES. i have clips of me hitting consistent D1s. i can send them to u. but could u pls verify if they are real subhamonics or just devil sounds.
Sing a confortable first subharmonic, relatively high in your subharmonic range. Then stay on that note and slowly relax, and it should sound like it goes lower. DO NOT REACH LOWER. STAY IN THE ORIGINAL PITCH. Then practice cleaning it up and pitching it. I’ve been doing 2nd subs for months and I still can’t do them very well, so do be patient cuz it takes a while :)
I will subscribe if you tell me what highest and lowest notes (approximately) are sung here by me when I tried to sing along using original song: th-cam.com/video/UK9EXNIU19Y/w-d-xo.html
good luck to everyone trying to learn this rather elusive technique.

hey how do you know it was B1, or how do you read a spectral analyser so to know the note you are singing?

From B1 to B -1 is a third sub. The second sub would be E0
David Larson got a cool transition

Let’s go!

Julius Martin is a bit of a Geoff wannabe but still very impressive.
Look at it this way; we're all Geoff wannabes, he's just dedicated enough to actually do it.
0:17 G#1*
My 2nd subs take me down to B0 and A0
