Because the owner is probably narcissist
If society has appreciated your work as original, it’s probably not original.
The logic here is that in the appreciation of work, there’s the implicit understanding that there’s a path to understand that work. Understanding is necessary to separate your creation from arbitrary randomness. The primary complaint of modern music and art through the ages has been to extend the envelope not destroy the envelope and create something unrecognizable. This illustration is a bit to that point:
I Could Have Done That - Copyright © 2017 ArtBeat Magazine
When you think you’re being original, you’re extending a current paradigm in a way that is recognized as having thought, planning, and intent. And, to do so requires that the bulk and basis of your creation has been accepted as a member of the true form of the art.
At times, in modern art that seems to mean that the work has a provenance card citing the author, name, date of creation, and high-level inventory of materials. For example:
From At is a pile of rocks (photo essay) Copyright © 2014 by “kelise72”
In the above, Carwyn Evans, ‘Unlliw’, a pile of bird boxes (that look like bricks) are properly displayed in a gallery with a proper provenance card citing the artist, title, and inventory of materials.
Stock photo of a Pile Of Bricks, copyright © 2020? Adobe
Being a stock photo, it’s perhaps now art, but it’s a pile of bricks essentially of the same fiber of creativity as “Unlliw” above. But no provenance card. No gallery. Not art. Not original. Whereas nearly identical “Unlliw” … “is original.”

8:44 Colgate Beef Lasagna? What were they thinking? Maybe they will have a better luck with Colgate Ice-Cream!
How about orange juice flavored Colgate
My failure confession: Never telling her I loved her.
Don’t make the same mistake again. When you find the one you grab them (metaphorically) and never let them go
@@satanhimself2105 but please know when to lighten your grip
also make sure not to strangle her.
"Hey, want some Ayds?"
"Yeah bro, I want some rn"
the way you write is so unique not the handwriting itself but how you physically write
Thanks for recommending me this TH-cam. Appreciate it
@ 5:21 I loved my
"Febreze Scent Story"
I started going to Blockbuster when it was all video tape, I miss my weekly visits there. I had 950 rentals when it closed, I felt betrayed somehow. I still have my Blockbuster rental card.
Omg i actually own a bottle of Harley Davidson scent. It smells wonderful. Its rare as hell to get hold of
Rogue Matthews what does it smell like? I have never even heard of it. I'm not sure what my male biker friends would think of bike cologne 🤔
I loved Block buster was a favorite Friday night horror flick weekend movie family time.
10:31 to the left side of the screen: "Washing my waffle iron in the sink." F in the chat for him/her.
Was Blockbuster really a failure? or just a outdated concept?
As I see a failure if it wasn't successfully right out the bat that didn't lasted a year or even a week
and having alot of negativity right out the bat.
oh jeez... Ayds, the naming department much been off that day.
Blockbuster failed to adapt to changes in the video rental industry, and they played catch-up with Netflix and Redbox as a result, which led to their demise.
Yeah I can see that as a failure
playing catch up, when it's to late.
I liked blockbuster, but if anyone can get their movies
in a instant of a click of a button at home.,
yeah Blockbuster was hose for not changing soon.
My guess they thought on demand movies was just gonna be a "fad" thing.
But nope, better technology and methods are mostly gonna replace the outdated and slower methods.
Still a couple stores in Alaska and a handful in Australia. Not dead yet technically. So ... Failure? Eh
I think they were talking about Blockbuster's home rentals they did late if their life.
i wouldn’t say oreos is a failure, it does have a few strange flavors but we all make mistakes so.
Glad they made a museum about me
Damn.
I loved the Fabreeze scent story!!! i missed it for years, and could'nt think of the name of it to save my soul! lol Thank you for jogging my memory. I wonder if they still sell them??:)
I remember those AYDS commercials. I wonder if they have any Food Fighters, they were these toys I was obsessed with but were major bombs in the toy world..they were action figures shaped like pieces of food, for instance a cross between an army man and a slice of pizza...I loved them. And their vehicles were cool too!!
5:00 taught my mom how puberty works. ..
@@graygravity3856 some parents don't have actual education likey mother she was in a school that has teachers to slack off and don't teach shit well at least my mom didn't end up like an abuser or shit like that but it's really hard to explain stuff to my mom about everything
I actually liked the ayds diet candy with a cup of coffee...helped me lose weight
I used to sneak my mom's when I was little. They just looked too much like caramels to resist!
Me: walks into museum
People: takes pictures of me
For me “originality” can be related to “unique”, “new” or not a copy from others.
We could start by saying that everything can be changed, transformed, improved and combined to generate things, however, sometimes, a small change can go a long way, so, not always it is important to be completely disruptive in the way we create things.
Looking for analogies between things that are from completely different fields can be a good starting point. Thinking about other uses of things that are used for a specific purpose can be a way to discover new ways of doing things.
Sometimes, lack of originality can be related to fear of being criticised. This fear can be perceived when thinking about what it exists already, what is typical, the norm and trying to do things differently, not according to the social rules or what people are used to. In the begining, they can think you are crazy… until it is successful and they think that it was common sense and wonder how they did not think about it before.
It is good to question assumptions about how things are done, to question if things can be done in different ways, not only using a different type of similar tools but using a completely different tool. Even in the process of operations could be asked at every stage why is it the way it is done and which other ways could be done.
A good starting point could be to consider ourselves as unique human beings. We all have similarities, but we have a unique set of life experiences, beliefs, motivations, knowledge, etc. Therefore, if we focus on ourselves, we can create something original combining our unique set of personality traits, ideas, motivations, knowledge and life experiences.
That sharpie you used should be put in the museum
With liking so many things displayed I guess it really makes you evaluate what really is a failure if someone somewhere liked it.
“Failure” museum in LA? What’s the difference?
Sad Arch Deluxe was gone. Videoland, Hollywood video, Blockbuster, fun times. RIP Sony Watchman as well. HD DVDs, TV show Joey, 1991 Fleer Baseball cards, Tv show American Dad. Terrible fails.
Henry S American Dad is still producing new episodes through TBS
Where was the SEGA 32X, the GameCom, LJN and Crystal Pepsi in this museum?
I had a 32x, it really sucked
Crystal Pepsi came back out not to long ago where I live.
What's also surprising is they did not mention the failure known as the Super Mario Bros. Movie (from 1993), or the Nintendo Virtual Boy anywhere in this place...
The person who started LJN Toys also started two other toy makers/game publishers: THQ and Jakks Pacific.
THQ is now called THQNordic.
The only good 32X games were Knuckles' Chaotix, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing and Star Wars Arcade.
1:49 that’s the Vasa ship, Swedens most famous failure in history. You can visit the actual wreck in the Vasa museum in Stockholm, and the wreck is huge and in pretty good condition.
Google the vasa ship if you want to see pictures of the wreck on display
I live in stockholm so I’ve been to the vasa museum many more times since I was a kid and it is always as amazing gazing upon the wreck from below it
As a doll collector- Both Little Miss No Name, and Growing up Skipper are highly sought after. Both rather pricey these days! 😂
2:19 F in the chat
They could build a 300 feet statue of me out side of that museum. Heck, I could even be their mascot!
I would have been the greatest piece if I were there
For a second I thought this was a museum about my dynasty, and, what do you know?
What a glorious place to visit, darling. I'm glad to know that they found my car after all these years. Ask them to leave it somewhere I can find it this time, please.
Gorgeous pieces. Oh boy, yeah.
That intro is so wholesome, i love it
2:20 You're telling me Japan can have millions of Kit Kat flavors but when we have unique Oreo flavors they're considered failures?
The trump one should definitely be in there now after this pandemic lol
Lmao
after 4 successful years of economic growth. great logic.
@@meyague where was the economy mentioned? The exhibit showcased the things he's failed at. Trump money, trump vodka... and now they should update his presidency, if the museum still existed that is. And the economy was at an all time low since 1946 lmao, not exactly 4 successful years of economic growth.
8:13 wrong president, should have been the one from 2008
And Biden
You mean Obama?
I got a Bic For Her set as a gift once. It was actually very pleasant to write with.
