Such a GREAT camper! I cant wait till they make one that extends further over truck cab so you don't have to unfold/fold bed. Would be so perfect to have a twin or full size *just a few more feet over truck cab... that would leave so much more open standing space when standing in truck bed. Once that happens I'm placing my deposit for sure!
I with you on needing to offer larger cab over bed area. I want to be able to sleep two up east/west without having to pull the bed out as to keep the truck bed completely open and usable and to be able to close the roof without having to pull the bed out. Once this happens I’m placing my order too.
The barn doors are a game changer. I can remove the doors and transport my fishing rods without space concerns as they can stick out past tailgate. Do you guys have roof racks that extend above the fan? So I could easily strap down a surfboard board bag for transport? I make the run from San Diego to my house in La Paz several times a year and usually bring quite a bit of gear back and forth.
You mentioned that the queen size mattress is a 4” thick memory foam tri-fold, correct? So, therefore when folded it would be 12” thick. I don’t know if you clarified this, but apparently when lowering the roof for travel, the bed would have to be deployed as in sleeping position, correct? Do the rear barn doors overlap the tailgate to keep rain out of truck? Can your roof rack crossbar system support canoes? If 4 crossbars are installed how much weight can be supported?
Great questions! Yes you would need to have your bed and sleep platform deployed to close the tent. They have seals that overlap with the barn doors. Yes, we have many customers using them to support canoes. Each roof rack can support a 50lb point load. Thanks!
I was wondering any reason how come mfg don't have the popup extend further to the front of the truck near the edge of the front windshield? Like the camper .
We design the tents to be a standard size and compatible with whatever base we need for trucks from 4.5'-8' in order to keep lead times down and prices down so y'all can hit the road and enjoy the trip!
@orudesigns could you guys make the cab over bed length longer so you can sleep two up while having the truck bed area completely open like on the project M and tune? That’s one of the main things keeping me away from the Oru right now. Other than that I’m loving your design!
I've admired Oru kayaks for years... haven't bought them for my wife and I... YET... but we will when we choose & buy our pop-up camper! It's a great surprise to see an Oru pop-up topper. You guys are brilliant engineers, and this video demonstrates all of your clever topper/pop-up solutions. Go Oru!
Some overland camper options go farther/deeper over the roof of the truck, allowing more room inside the camper even when the entire bed is pulled out. Do you offer variations of this, or just this one size of total length?
This looks like it might work to haul an atv in the bad with the shell on. You said the rear opening is 50” wide. What would the rear opening hight be (from bed rail), on a Bruin built for a 2020-24 GMC 2500? Thank you.
Will this be on display at your Overland Expo booth in Colorado later in August? R value of the shell Insulation? I'm 34" tall when sitting. So it sounded like you said there's 30" from mattress to ceiling.....therefore, I can't sit fully upright on top of the mattress?
When the bruin is collapsed for transport, what is the overall height of the camper from the top of the bed to the top of the closed bruin? Curious to see if it will fit in my garage while on my truck. Any solar options or lighting options? Thanks

I like this a lot... So, on the interior for this build, am I seeing that I could access the interior of my truck through the backseat window?
Yes if the camper cab window was down. Thanks!
