Hey brother, great vídeo! Honest question: when you’re recording, you just go one take, or the vendors always want to reshoot something? Is the editing quick and easy for these kind of clips? Thank you for putting up these compilations 🫡
So we use the DJI Osmo pocket 3 and film everything in pretty much one take. As they talk about a specific product, we will go in and get close-ups. Sometimes, the vendors will need to resay something, so they will, and then I will cut out the part they want cut out. And editing is quick, too, since it is all one take, and the "Broll" is shot at the same time. For editing, I am just speeding up the video and taking out any awkward pauses or anything I feel that doesn't need to be in the video. So it may be choppy, but I don't think the viewers care because the Audio flows nicely. Before, we used to shoot with Sony A7s3s and then use a Tascam DR10L and lav the vendor up. We would shoot the vendor on a wide/medium and then film the broll after they were done talking. If you look at the earlier videos from this channel, you will see just that. So, with that process, the filming and editing took a long time. By switching to the Osmos and filming in one take, we can double the number of vendors we can shoot at an event and reduce editing time to only a quarter of the time. I think the reason the Osmos works vs. the traditional broll is that people just want to know the information on the product. They don't need fancy shots or whatever; just give them the information so they can move on. So both styles achieve the same thing in the end, its just that the Osmos make the production side of things much more efficient.
That SaveAqua valve is extremely well engineered. I was impressed.
