Every dysfunctional family needs a scapegoat, and the Plaths made Olivia theirs.Olivia helped the Plaths tremendously, and then they threw her under the bus after using her to bring them into the 21st century.Olivia is intelligent and interesting, with a great career.I could see her hosting a travel show, or a show about her career as a wedding photographer.Plathville will be so boring(and probably get canceled)without her.
@@makisushi3720 I wouldn’t put it past them. What they need to be doing is making amends with Olivia, because without her, that show is 🥱.Most people tuned in to see the relationship between Olivia and Ethan.Without Olivia, none of them is interesting enough to make it watchable.
@@kimerietate8372exactly! I FF through the Moriah and siblings stuff, and only watch the Kim & Barry stuff more for the tea than anything else! What a snooze fest!
I love how you cleared the air using examples for Olivia. She gets hated on so much and called controlling but it’s definitely everyones rose colored glasses for the Plath family . She really is relatable and imperfect but definitely not controlling or evil like they paint her as.
Your analysis of this family is spot on. I just recently learned of this family. My first experience was with the Moriah story when she was trying to go to college. These parents and parents like them do their children a disservice when they shelter them this much because their life experience traumatized them. Young teens and tweens need to make their own mistakes. They need to learn for themselves. Now, when i see Kim's behavior, she is the typical mother in law and controlling mother. If you dont adhere to the "family culture " and every family has one, you get discarded. This is why Moriah discards Olivia, and the younger Plaths HAVE TO shun Olivia. If they dont, they will be shunned. Since they have absolutely no social skills or network outside of their family culture, they must do what the mother wants. They may THINK they're doing it of their own accord. But they are not. It is a type of Stockholm syndrome; they need to be accepted or else. It is fascinating because now the parents are divorced, the mother is bedsurfing, the dad is Juicing (let's be real) and all the kids that have no social skills whatsoever, are lost.....it's a wild psychological study. These people are so incredibly sheltered....it's so weird. In the end, Olivia will be discarded and that contributes to her past family trauma. Just fascinating. Ethan is too small-minded for Olivia. Anyway, i love your commentary. Bravo!
I feel so bad for Lydia. She is such a good kid and deserves so much more autonomy than what she is given. I don't get why they have so little trust in her.
AHHHH Max shaming Moriah for her clothes is giving me HUGE flashbacks to my controlling ex from when I was 19. Hilariously enough he was also from Cairo, GA. Moriah will find someone way better than this pig.
TH-cam recommended your channel this morning and I’ve been amazed! Your take on the Plath family is remarkably well done. Kudo’s for your work and interpretations. Great job Dani, your empathy, brain common sense and beauty shine through. New subscriber 😊
I read somewhere that Lydia "Stockholm Syndrome" Plath's "special friend" (as she calls him) was actually Olivia's younger brother Nathan Meggs (he ended up later living with Ethan, Olivia & Moriah in Tampa). Weird.
Listening to your Plathville playlist and I just looked at Olivia's IG. She has nothing with her and Ethan but her last name is still Plath. Ah the drama that's coming!
You tell this very well. Kim's way, that things are to be done how she wants gives me such flashbacks of my "christian' home, my father doing the same 😫 cant stand it..
Based off the title of this video. Saying/stating it’s a toxic family! Then being toxic it should be removed from the airwaves! Come on people! Toxic equals poison! Then cancel this toxic family reality show.
stop spoiling what happens way beforehand please! love these videos but I would rather find out when they break up that they break up, not way before, for example.
If this is a recap/commentary on Season 3, why the hell would you share the fact that Max is engaged?? WTF. Thanks for the spoilers. Or spoiler warning of any kind 🙄

They may even blame Olivia and her "evil" for their own divorce 😑

I don’t like Olivia with strength of a billion burning hot suns. She is incredibly controling
I wonder where the attraction to that type of woman came from?? 🤔🤔🤪
