    I am extremely excited to try out this bike and see how the ride feels in different to carbon. Really never got to experience long distance riding or at fast speeds with a titanium bike. If you are interested in looking at the bike as well. Head on over to there website in the description

      I also bought this frame and have been riding it for about 2 months. Built it up with the new SRAM 1x force as a travel crit bike. Very happy overall with the ride & build quality. Should last forever and take knocks/crashes better.

    My first big spend bike was/is titanium, I built the frame up with all the parts I wanted/could afford. I love the ride and wouldn't change it to carbon even if it was at a knock down price. The ride and longevity win me over all day long, intact I'd buy another as a gravel ride if I could afford it!

    Just got my BlackHeart AllRoad Ti with Force AXS 2x and Hunt 44 Aerodynamicist wheels less than a week ago. It feels and rides amazing. Everywhere I go I get asked about it because it stands out amongst all the overly aero-carbon fiber frames you usually see.
    Bonus in working with a smaller company, Zach (the founder) helped me every step of the way in creating a build. We must’ve exchanged hundreds of emails, you aren’t gonna get that with a big brand. Super stoked, great experience.

    Nice, smaller, welds are also a byproduct of Ti bikes being hand welded, pretty much universally, due to low production volume. Whereas Al are cranked out at high volume on automated machines, and a big ol weld is integral to good QC in this production method.

    I have a titanium bike too and honestly I choose it for it's looks and that you can sit at the top tube at traffic lights and not have to worry about that and not for the so called titanium-ride-feel; my seatpost is carbon and is superlight so it flexes like crazy, I have a carbon saddle, my handlebar although it doesn't flex it is superlight and made of carbon, my stem is made of carbon and my rims are also made out of carbon, my cranks are aluminium, so I am not that certain if even a titanium bike feel even exists how much of it would be noticeable with all that carbon going on. What you do have is a bike that looks stunning and that you will never grow tired of, every time I look at it my thoughts are "man it won't get more beautiful then that".

    As an engineer, I never understood why titanium as material should have better ride qualities. I think almost always titanium frames are just more flexy/less stiff. Or, of course people want their super expensive boutique bike to ride super nice, when it actually doesn't. But as a material, carbon lends itself just so much more to build an extra smooth riding frame. Steel and titanium have good fatigue properties so when done right you can get away with smaller safety margins compared to aluminium which could result in less material used an therfore less stiff frames. But generally titanium is overhyped especially in terms of performance/stiffness/compliance compared the carbon

    • @charlesmansplaining
      @charlesmansplaining 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      You have valid points. I have to agree but for whatever reason I have my titanium bike and will never buy another carbon bike. Titanium ride properties also come down to the builder, they don't all have that plush ride.

      @SiliconEngineer 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      lol. It’s unbelievable how easily folks can be manipulated into letting up their hard earned $$. 3.25 Ti and Al have almost the same ExI, so it literally is the same ‘feel’ as an equivalent Al frame (and nearly the same weight). With Ti you’re not getting the weight advantage of CF nor the budget advantage of Al 😂

      @@SiliconEngineerbut they last longer right? I was told a gezillion times that aluminum frames don’t age well and will basically « deform » after 10 years or so… I ride several aluminum frames, one since 2018 and it feels great

    • @michaelmechex
      @michaelmechex 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      That is correct, the "magical ride feel" is all marketing and placebo. However, I still want a titanium gravel bike so I don't have to deal with rust, paint damage, rock strikes, etc. and can have custom geometry made for me.

    • @gaza4543
      @gaza4543 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SamuelBlackMetalRider Everything has a fatigue life and has nothing to do with years and everything to how you ride it, how heavy you are, hot, cold, humidity, wet, salt (a big one for alloy), heck how often you clean and preform matainance all have a bearing. And that goes for any material. Like you I have an alloy bike a mason, and if that lasts me 10 years that will be great. tbh I suspect you'll change out well before that point due to "industry progression" the next big thing is inertgrated hangers which you are now starting to see on Srams MTB stuff and that will require a new frame eventually if the hangers can't be replaced/converted. such is life

      @@NiohNiohYTCarbon fiber also degrades with time and develops micro cracks. Not the carbon itself, but the resin that holds it together, which is always the weak point of carbon fiber. Bikes often use carbon fiber that is very dry, meaning it has very little resin, because that makes it very stiff and light, but also fragile. Then you have frames damaged by flying gravel off the road and it's also the reason why Evenepoel broke his SL8 in half in a pile up.

    Titanium? Meh. IMHO a good aluminium frame has exactly the same performance and is usually lighter. The titanium frame will usually last for a lifetime; but with the amount of stupid design changes that occur why would one want to keep a frame that might be possibly rendered unusable in 5 years.

    I rode a titanium Litespeed for years. Never really impressed with it. Not bad just nothing exciting. Not super stiff. Not super light. Got a modern carbon bike and noticed the difference immediately. More responsive and stiff in terms of power transfer. If you want durability, titanium all the way. If you're looking for a race bike it's carbon fiber hands down
