      not a single video online of people maintaining the fan... AT ALL
      nothing, not even a "best way to relube" video... nothing but these reviews of it... I'm already sold on it, I just need a damn maintenance video for it!

    I was for many years a Dewalt guy. Earlier this year I got my first mikwaukee tool the 23ga nailer then a week later the 16ga angled nailer so I've been slowly amassing milwauwkee tools and batteries. I just picked one of these fans up yesterday because for the past 2 weeks I've been building a house in a valley on the north shore of Kauai. North shore I always figured to be the coolest spot on the island till I started this job. Trees being blown all around but the spot I'm in there's no wind. Tried it out in my house last night and wasn't too impressed. But today at 0930 when the sun started to crest the trees I brought it out and wow! I had it on low all day running off a 6ahho pack and it was still full bars when I stopped working at 1700. Didn't feel the need to turn it up higher cause low was enough especially from working in no air circulation for the past 2 weeks it definitely made the day easier. Saw the m12 fan couple of days ago along with the dewalt 20v fan. I settled on this because it can plug into the wall for use around the house. I may get the m12 fan later for work and camping since I now have quite a few m12 batteries from all the tools I have been buying over the past 3 months. My recent buy 3 days ago was the m12 surge impact driver so i got 2 more batteries from that.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow, Kauai sounds like a nice place to be. I've been on the north shore of Oahu before and just remember the big waves. I personally like the output of the M18 fan the best, but the M12 is a great one for portability, mounting options, and camping.

    • @kaleoariola
      @kaleoariola 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MarkThomasBuilder it's OK truthfully I miss the mainland. All the waves are from the south right now the only time the north goes off is during the winter. That's what I was thinking about the m12 fan for hiking or fishing where size and weight dictate what items you want to bring. The m18 is good for camping or home use.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The M12 is still a pretty big size for backpacking, but it's a better option than the M18. It would definitely be nice for camping.

    9Ah battery fits perfectly. I have 3 of these and my only small small complaint is that the prop isn’t perfectly balanced so there’s some unnecessary noise even on low. Not loud mind you but you’ll notice it if you pay attention.

    I love the fan I have two. The noise doesn't bother me at all. I live in the Bahamas where it can be in the 90,s and I need that high speed.i know there's some complaining about why does it have a silly adapter instead of a way to use a extension cord. I say that for in the house the adapter is better. But in the job you need the extension cord. So Milwaukee could've had both. There are a few things Milwaukee could've done different like a compartment for the adapter, it also should be high enough for the big 12ah and last it should have more mounting options. I'd love to see a newer model and see a M12 version

      That's a deal. I'm looking for another one. I thought there might be a Memorial Day savings this weekend.

      Nice. I wish I saw that. I would buy it with a 5 battery for 129 but that’s a better deal. I just got the 12 and a 6 with the rapid charger for 249 so I feel guilty buying another tool over 100. But it’s Cali so it can get hit

      Wow, that's weird. Hopefully it's still under warranty. It's a pretty easy process on their website.

      Yes, I think I said it's not brushless in the video. I think it will have a long life despite being brushed.

      Milwaukee just upgraded their fans and will be released soon. I haven't tried a Flex fan yet. Thanks for sharing.
