Riding to Lauterbrunnen - Alps Motorcycle Tour Part 2

- I leave the Vosges and ride my Honda Africa Twin to Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland. Once again I'm joined by Chris on his BMW R1200 GS Adventure, Yachtmaster riding his BMW R1250GS and Smillie on his Suzuki V Strom. Riding into Lauterbrunnen is a truly mind bowing experience and one that is very hard to show on camera. If you've not been you really need to get yourself there at least once in your life. We camped at Camping Jungfrau in Lauterbrunnen Valley and climb up to the Staubbach Falls.

We went by coach over the St Bernard Pass, also seen the kennels where the St Bernard dogs are kept ,at the frontier post.Amazing scenery .❤Thanks for sharing your adventure (s).
It's a stunning road!
Awesome ! Great to see you come back from heart failure to walking up mountainsides. 💪
Thanks man! I was actually pretty surprised myself!
Lovely Mike - stayed there a couple of times. Hotel just beside the train station. Tried to ride the Pan European away with wifey on back and disc lock connected - just as well I had quick reactions and strong legs in those days !!! Still using the tubeless wheels ? Bob
I am indeed Bob!
How's things with yourself, been away on more epic trips?
Is that not Sherlock Holmes land
Apparently Rickenbach Falls is completely made up! My mates live in the German Rickenbach and there's no big waterfalls there. Apparently it's the same with the Swiss one. I'm not 100% sure, but I was told it was made up for the book.
Mike another great film. What amazing scenery. I think you are a hero venturing so far onto the continent. I hardly dare go 100 miles from my wee cottage in the Highlands. I have to go further before its too late. Your pal Mikey got in touch with me and we are meeting up in the Spring. It's like meeting up with a film star! A genuine Yodagoat star.
That's great! Mikey is a good lad. He too has a bit of the fear for travelling further afield. He was supposed to be on the Alps trip with us but sadly pulled out. You could both do a trip together! I really can't recommend riding the Alps enough. It's is truly mind blowing. You can see Chris's reaction. You really need to go Hugh. I'll help with any trip planning or advice if I can.
As well as a great film maker, a gentleman.
Great tour so far. Love the vids mate. Can I ask how much it roughly cost all in.
Thanks
I budgeted around £1000 for just over two weeks. That includes a couple of hotels.
@@yodagoat thank you. Can't wait for the next installment
Loving the trip so far, and am convincing myself Switzerland needs a visit. Is Chris from Wales then ?
Chris is 100% not from Wales although he does claim that he's Welsh from time to time. Sort of like those American folk who claim they're Irish or "Scotch". 😂
Awesome as always Mike. Loved the music choices as usual too. Glad you're feeling better and enjoying life 👌
Thanks man! Have you been to Lauterbrunnen? If not get it on your list.
@@yodagoat haven't even been out of the UK on my bike yet. Hopefully nect year.
You'll absolutely love it!
Looks epic!
Did you book the campsite up front? Or just came riding up there and asked for a spot?
We just rocked up and asked for a space.
Great video,amazing scenery.
Thanks! The Alps are stunning to ride through.
il livello dei video sta aumentando sempre di più , Chris Lloyd stai attento !!!!!
I'm sure he'll be VERY intimidated.
Great stuff, Im hooked
Good to hear Jeff!
Great stuff 👍👍 Love it.
Thanks Keith!
Mike can you reach the summit of the mountain via the tunnel or does it end where you saw the waterfall
Unfortunately it ends where we were at the waterfall. There is a way up though, the BASE jumpers go up there and jump off.
@@yodagoat Thanks Mike
BRAW.
As nice as Cymru!
Thank you J 2 the izzle.
Switzerland is such a phenomenal country - did Jungfrau top of the world when last there - great video - many thanks for sharing
I really need to do that or get the lift up to the Eiger. How much was it to get to the top of Jungfrau?
@@yodagoat I think it was around 250 euro
Ooooya! A bing of cash but I bet once your up there it's more than worth it.
FKN YEH MAAAAN
I agree 100%. Young Jordan better have watched. He's forgotten to comment!
Another great video series. What time of year?
This was last September.
