I preferred the concept with longer boot. Ooh no this is the hatch I’m sorry. But actually to buy my car, I don’t look at the outside, so will always take the more practical one. So never a sedan.
It's rumoured to have a GT version with ~300hp. Could theoretically just be fwd, but that doesn't make sense, awd is easy with EVs. Also - isn't this the same platform as the ev6/Ioniq5/6, just using 400V for cost reasons? If they optimize charging speeds somewhat compared to the Kona etc, with 600km range the km/min charged could still be decent, and that's what counts in the end
@@driesdebackere5233 is it *known* that it will charge at the same speed as the ev3? Battery seems to be slightly larger (81 vs 78, but might usable capacity) Still, 420km wltp range in half an hour is _ok_. That's like 300-350km highway, so half an hour charging every ~ 3 hours. Alternatively you can charge 10-60 in 20 mins and still get 300km wltp
@ that is what my Kia dealer told me. Not ready for electric… Last week I went to France for work with my Kia Ceed. 790km , i tanked 43 liters and arrived there (range 40km left) after 7h20. It took me 7h15 driving, one toilet stop. In coming tanked 38liters (57 euro) to make the 690km to belgian border…. Took me 6h’s one stop of 10 minutes. 135kph on the counter, cause you can drive 130. At that stop I saw EV’s standing. Price to charge 53cent/kw… if they do empty to full 80kw = 43 euro’s… and they can maybe reach 300km. So they Will have to stop minimum one time more. And actually more, because I count charging till 100%. They won’t do after 80% so slow, and will have to stop more;than 2 times. Super expensive, and most of the electricity is not green so… ( In Belgium only 20%, so only one out of 5 EV km’s is “green”, they forget contruction) No thank you.
@@driesdebackere5233 Belgium is a little behind the times as far as charging. Even your neighbour, The Netherlands, is better off. Belgium will catch up eventually.
Quite softly sprung, that one is. For a commuter car, it seemed to be doing nicely. It will be interesting to see an AWD GT model on the 'Ring.
EV3 GT, EV9 GT - 2025
EV2 GT, EV4 GT, EV4 Hatchback GT - 2026
EV5 GT - 2027

Front wheel drive.
400V charging.

@@MilodeVriessame as ev3 and that is slow the charging . For the rest I like the car… I’m not interested in the GT version, less efficient.
