It's that time of year again - FM24 is out, and I've spent more time with it holidaying in to the future so I could make a Football Manager 2024 100 Years Later video than I have actually playing the game! As a former Formartine Utd youth player, them winning the SPL is absolutely bonkers to me. Genuinely cheered when I saw that.
For context, the home ground is just outside the village of Pitmedden in Aberdeenshire.

In relation to Scotland - Formartine United are my team! They currently play below the playable leagues.
I feel the most disappointing thing to see, as an AFC Ajax fan, is that the Johan Cruijff Arena has been name changed to the Robin van Persie Arena. Truly heartbreaking.

The club challenge is like a Super Cup between Europa League and Copa Sudamericana I believe, pretty much a Finalissima between the 2 winners of the 2nd tier club international competitions!
On the day this released Cardiff City were 8th in the Championship , they're also 8th in the Championship after 100 years of simulation

When/if Wales becomes independent, I think that Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham would have to move to the Welsh league from the English league pyramid.
@@MiroHeinonenconsidering the level of competition, they won't move there, at least for a while. These clubs would actually collapse if they made the move (too big for Welsh league which has a much lower prize pool)

On the different winners in each season, it was only a decade ago that Ligue 1 in France had 6 different winners in 6 years.... You're looking back to the 60s or 50s for the last time that happened in the major leagues though.

There seems to be a breaking point in FM simulation engine where after completing the century 2100 weird things happen

I’d love to see a comparison video between 100 years in future on FM24 and FM23
I love these videos. In my opinion, I think football will still be pretty popular 100 years from now but maybe they'll look at now and a few decades ahead as 'the golden era'. Maybe in 100 years, matrix-world sports like advanced VR, space sports, robot sports etc. will be more popular with the younger generations and any of us hanging on in the 2120s will be seen as 'old-fashioned' for following the real deal ha.

Robin van Persie Arena in Amsterdam. While he is a Feyenoord legend from Rotterdam. Who have huge huge rivalries. That's surprising. Van Persie must have managed Ajax and done well then in this silly weird future.

Non-League teams must have had crazy turnover....100+ goal differential, top scorer with 7. Also great to see so many times teams win the league like 5 times in a row, and then randomly drop down to near relegation or just being relegated.
Is there a save file to download?
As issue there with goals being scored, hence the close leagues. Look at top scorers for the league and the goal differences

Look at the goal differences of the teams as well. It might be unpredictable with the champion but the games must be like watching Serie A in the 80s.
