It´s used when you scout players and want a specific player profile, e.g. I searched for Pressing forwards with certain % success rate of multiple defensive actions and added a threshold on minimal shots on target/90. It is skewed by the overall team performances / league quality though, just like real-life stats.
It´s still good for new players not familiar with attributes and their synergy.
Chalkboard - go to player search > new search > add condition > select "stats chalkboard"
It's basically a way of using more in depth data then just attributes on the player profile. You can select a Centre Back based on headers won rather than jumping reach

I had absolutely no idea this existed. I definitely would have been looking at it.
People need to learn to read big time.
They literally state that the screenshots they sent are DESIGN FILES, i.e. concepts made by the game artists, and NOT the game build. Concepts are always supposed to look simple to communicate an idea from the artists to the developers. It does not necessarily mean that the actual game will look remotely close to these screenshots, but it does show a POSSIBLE direction of the new UI. Therefore, more data and features that have not yet been revealed yet are just not included in this screenshot release.
SI are literally giving all the transparency they possibly can (without revealing too much in one go) and it is common knowledge that this game will never be as full or "finished" as future iterations.

Fm24 was the most complete version of FM ever and still had major bugs...
I said this on TikTok to him and he wouldn’t listen. The game will look nothing like that
How quickly does someone make a skin that gives it the same UI as previous games?
I will miss the social media tab some comments were funny did get repetitive also shame about challenges going away loved doing them looks good so far though

@layman-v8e a lot of the tone of felt like you got a mix of good and bad contractionary comments which ultimately told you nothing. Some kind of summary saying about the general feel on social media would be more useful
Its starting to look like a fifa career home screen and im not sure how i feel about it
While the uniform look across different platforms is good for accessibility, it means A LOT of wasted space and unoptimal solutions on PC.
In design uniform doesn't always mean exactly the same. For example most modern websites have a uniform design but they dynamically adjust based on the screen size. You still get the same core look and all the same functionality and data are on the screen no matter if you are using a 32inch 4k computer monitor or a 6inch phone but all that is arranged differently to give the best experience for the screen you are using
@@SimonWakefieldUK the design slides provided were from PC build, and they showed all of the problems above. You don’t have to tell me how responsive design works, as I do UX for living.

No social media screen???!!! It was a fun thing to look at
UI looks pretty but I sense a future frustration having to click through multiple "cards" to do/see something that was all available on the one screen previously.
I hope the skin creators (like SAS) are still able to use the old skins or at least mod the new one like we could the older UI.
I guess I'll need to launch my controller at the wall when my players do something I don't want to them to do despite the best instructions now that touchline shouts are out. DEMAND MORE 🤣

@@alexisphade4486 Yeah but I totally agree with @sam as well... Taking out the whole overview and you need to open and expand stuff you want to see on one screen. They say modern coaches are on mobiles.. Well yeah, so be it, but we want a good looking game with all the depth there is to it to play ON THE COMPUTER.

because it will be the same as this year with no upgrades because most of the fm fan base have shit computers so they wont ever upgrade it to be actual 3d match where u have 1st person view from your actual manager and you have the view from the real managers on the side line! THATS THE GAME I WANT!

you do know its not the actual design of the UI, its from the design files put together, it will be a lot more complicated than simplistic upon release.

the men and woman's league things, i do hope you can only select one or the other to be loaded leagues otherwise i feel like the database of players will be so insanely large that it's going to lag computers.
That was what I thought, I'd imagine you are able to load men or women's at the same time or separate, without having to start a new game
So they removed a dozen features (some not important, others pretty major) and made a new UI so far. Really hope there’s a lot more to come, but I’m guessing this new engine is causing a lot of development strain for the first release.

The close button does do something if you press it as you get in... stops any awkward social interactions

I think the point is that the touchline shouts are vague and not very realistic, cos they were originally meant to represent several minutes of shouting orders at players. I'm still not sure what 'fire up' actually translates to. I'd imagine they're intending to return them as full extensive dialogue options, but don't have time for that much writing and coding for such a small feature before fm25

as i said under their tweet, I'll reserve judgement for the final release, if my worries about simplification of the game from the appearance of the new UI come true though I'm out

Worse part about the close door button is that I've been in Elevators where they did work (they closed the door instantly upon press)
So you get skinner-boxed into using it in every elevator because some of them do payout.
Bro it’s an interface and graphics upgrade but with simpler features I liked touch line shouts but with all those removed it sound more of a downgrade to me

I actually relly like the new UI, a lot of potential, highly customizable and delighted they got rid of that silly touchline tablet thing in the match day UI- excitement is building!
Looks like I'm playing FM23 for the rest of my life.
I hope they refine the blocks a bit for a more refined feel. It needs a bit of flair. I like the jump points through if they can bundle up a lot of information in a tight way. Also hope they get rid of a lot of messages in fm as its a bit much.

The close door button in elevators _definitely_ does something. At least in all the elevators I've been in in Australia. The moment the button is pressed in, the doors start to close. Even if they've literally just opened.
Can't speak to the shouts though. 🤷♀
I’ll wait and see how it unfolds but it’s gonna be very console/touch friendly I bet especially the interface. I just hope they actually put features that make sense and not just for the sake of it
The social media aspect just felt like it was going through the motions like they thought it was a part of real life so needed to exist but had zero impact on the game

A well-produced, properly casted eSports scene for FM could be absolutely incredible. Theres definitely enough personality in the scene to support it, but it'll be tough to find a big audience.
If it was on a youtube format, it will do okay. If its livestreams of events, then the audience may be limited. Alot of fm players play casually due to life/work commitments and it may be difficult to watch at specific times

What I would really like is to be able to create a personality for my manager through interactions throughout the game. Me, as a manager in FM am very wooden, for example the responses and interactions with the media and players are all very generic. Let me create my personality, let me be a 'special one' and let it have an actual affect on how the media, players etc react and interact with me. I know you can respond in a somewhat "controversial" way but it doesn't really have an affect on the game. I do acknowledge it would require a pretty extensive AI within the game.
It would be nice to be able to start a game on PC, then if you're travelling, just open the same game on an iPad, or the same save via xbox etc.
Typical Fifa move. Remove features and then bang the drum announcing them as latest features in upcoming editions. We all know it. We all feel it. We all buy next years anyway. Dumb-money.

The UI seems better to me, looks cleana dm sounds like they will remove clutter. Far too many screens on FM that never got used or were slight duplicates

Unity as a game engine will be much easier to do that as it was originally an engine for mobile games that got adopted for PC and exploded.
No not wasn't. Unity existed before Smartphones were even a thing. It was designed as an engine for MacOS before examining to Windows not long after. It wasn't until near the end of Unity 2 that they added basic iOS support and then Unity 3 before it got fully baked support along with Android

No, I’ll be doing NLTL as usual. Which could lead to me managing a women’s club.
I feel like if they bring the social media side of things back there needs to be some actual input into it. Like if you have a spare £2k as a non league team been able to do a social drive to bring in followers to grow your club would be such a great idea. Choosing to go abroad for your training camp as a championship team and spending £500k to grow your reputation that way. Currently the system is so slow at raising reputation that it does make it difficult to raise a team up from the bottom.

@@liamjones9115 I have no problem with save scumming or using the editor, but if they want to bring challenges back I think it would be more fun/used if they had one challenge per month that everyone can play on the same playing field and have a leader board so you know how well you've done 🤷♂

so assuming you can port fm24 save to fm25 i have a create a club 50 years in what would happen when i try to port it if create a club no longer exists
I may be wrong but I was able to port my Macau 🇲🇴 league save to fm24 without having a database for macau. I think it will be the same for Create a Club

I feel highly uncomfortable with this. Hopefully SI have taken into account how players play the game and haven't over simplified the game for console.
Not for nothing but Miles has emphasised that how people play the game was key in the process - they have 10 million players' worth of data... I expect PC players will be just fine. 👌
I hope they will not keep this design, it looks like a soulless excel sheet again. Interface is the part of the immersion, it has to be nice, it has to have club colors so you really feel like you are managing that team and so on. FM 2017 colorful flat design was good to me. This look depressing.
Saw quite a few negative comments on FM’s post so everyone is not thrilled by this. But it looks fresh and clean to me and honestly I'm tired of scrolling through all those emails in the inbox! More importantly are FM going to fix the player interactions, where players get annoyed over everything.
Big game players are a self-entitled bunch these days. There will always be bags of negative comments unless they get exactly what they want - and right now! And as everybody doesn't want the exact same thing, there will always be 'bags of negative comments' - fullstop!...
Need to know how the womens leagues will affect player databases. Would be great to build a full club (M/W/Y) but i cant envision a way to include them (in my 200k player saves) without damaging performance even more.
Maybe the simplified format will help with database size limitations, as there is less going on behind the scenes from a UI perspective?
