I was at this show. At the age of 70 now it is a crazy dream to remember this. Later that year I saw them at the original Filmore Auditorium? Lux was great and Ivy was so stoic and saucy. Life at it's finest!
You should have been at The CRAMPS show at The Fox Theatre in 1990!! ⚡ That show of theirs was Insane!! ⚡ Lux Interior was in rare form that nite!! ⚡✨ He came out onstage in a black patent leather G-string and black patent leather 9" stillettos, with his towering black spiked hair and the dudes already 6'4" tall, barefoot! Champagne bottle and microphone in hand!! ⚡✨🎶 Their show was mind blowing! He broke the champagne bottle and slashed his chest a few times with the broken glass champagne bottle! It was a Riot!! 🎶⚡🙋
Saw then earlier that year, worked stage crew at their leicester gig then rode 220 miles each way on my bike to see them again in newcastle at the mayfair they were sooo good! See the full 20 min Tube tv show clip on youtube, they played the mayfair later that night after that one. Lux downed 2 bottles of bulls blood during the show & was jumping off the speaker stacks by the end, one of my all time top 3 gigs for sure.
The I-Beam was a former popular nightclub and live music venue active from 1977 to 1994, and located in the Park Masonic Hall building on the second floor at 1748 Haight Street in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco.[1] The I-Beam served as one of San Francisco's earliest disco clubs, as well as serving as a "gay refuge".
Went to Hollywood and rushed the door as they played some noise that had me doing something like Bopinstompin drunk dance that got me to dog pile on some kids from out of town . It got us 86 ed out at the last song then Black Flag at the CatheDGrand FUN
