    Nice video!作为一个上海人,我基本同意视频中的内容,有2个地方我需要纠正一下,一个是车牌,在上海如果你需要拥有完整的路权首先需要去进行车牌的拍卖,这个完全是看你的网速和运气的,也有很多个人和公司会承接代拍的工作但也不能保证一定拍得到,而车牌的价格目前是稳定在9-10万这个区间里,并不是7-10万(那已经是很多年前的事了),因此在这几年上海政府大力推行电动车也就是EV CAR的发展,如果你购买一辆电动汽车,就可以直接免费获得一张绿色的新能源牌照,可以和9万的蓝色车牌一样在上海畅通无阻,当然实际办理过程中也并不是那么简单,但比起9万人民币来说就不值一提了。还有一个是房价,租房的描述基本正确,但绝大多数上海普通人的房子在400-500万人民币左右,事实上200万美元其实已经可以在上海买到不错的房子了。

    Fun fact: Motorcycle plates are even more costly in Shanghai. A whopping 600k RMB for a plate that allows you ride inside the inner ring of the city. And the only way you can acquire one is through scalpers, the government stopped issuing new ones long ago.

    Shanghai is a first-tier city, and the cost of living, including food and accommodation, is relatively expensive. However, there are many job opportunities available. If your income is average, then your living conditions may be compromised to some extent

    No.8 kids education is a big idea for most Chinese family. We started it at a very early age and invest tons of money and effort into their schooling. In my opinion, this is meaningless competition.😪

      Interesting - I wonder what would happen if all the people who think it's meaningless would quit participating? I can't help but think how good community schools could become if they gained more resources and more students, and ones with reasonably well-off parents who care about their children's education at that!
      In New York City, it's really bad, too - expensive and so competitive. A friend had to write multiple essays, have a home visit and take her child for several interviews FOR A PRE-SCHOOL PLACEMENT for a 3-year-old! She said, too, that she thinks it's ridiculous. Child development experts and early-education specialists have weighed in on the subject and almost all agree that it's ridiculous - early childhood education is incredibly important, of course, but quality early childhood education doesn't have to be expensive, and even just the stressful process and pressure in getting into the "right" school is a ton of unnecessary stress for such little kids.

    Car plates are incredibly hard to get and expensive in Shanghai and Beijing but buying a luxury car, oh boy, it’s another story

    Shanghai is like this, other cities in China will be cheaper, for example, you can buy your own house with 200k RMB, but in Shanghai, you can only buy a balcony, but small cities are not as dynamic, developed and beautiful as Shanghai, could you please add Chinese subtitles in the next video

    [Me through #4, as a parent from the US considering Shanghai ]: Meh, expected the high rent.... not really a wine person...lol glad I never got into luxury makeup...oof, car plates are steep but I'd rather use public transportation anyway...

    With 100k rmb you can buy one registration plate in Shanghai. There is a place to buy and there is a price. In Beijing, there is no way to even buy it.
