I'm seeing some comments about not letting Rich talk enough. After watching the video, I thought the same thing but couldn't do anything as it was already shot and edited. To be honest, I was just super excited to see his gym and hang out with him and didn't shut my motor mouth. I apologize and will do better to highlight the other person in the future. I appreciate the feedback and will grow from it. Also, Rich is a great person. Even bigger fan after meeting him in person than I already was. - Coop
Don’t beat yourself up mate, it wasn’t that bad and he was doing it too 😊 It was obvious you were excited and I doubt he was irritated at all so don’t sweat it.
i suspect he's not one to dominate the conversation and was happy with interview.. i met him 2x at the games and he is really a nice guy with the fans.. Cheers.
True.... Coop, you do tend to share your stories over the top of his. I like them both, but one at a time, please. There's no need to fight - you're both pretty.
Don't interrupt coop. Brush up on your interviewing skills. You visibly annoyed Rich with your interrupting. No one cares about your comparisons. Let people finish talking. You also did a very poor exit, the man is a living legend. You didn't give him a chance to say anything at the end there.
Great video and I love me some GGR and Rich Froning and can't wait to see the rest of the builds. My only call out would be that sometimes Coop asks Rich questions and then interrupts when he is in the middle of answering lol. Coop, love you bud, but stay focused. I know it's exciting to be in that space with a Legend.
I"ve spent ~14 years now watching Rich compete, following on social media, reading his book, enjoying his videos, listening to the podcast, and generally appreciating his views on life, family, and work ethic. Whereas typically most of his talk surrounding Crossfit or working out has been modalities or lift-specific, it's great to see him sit and talk about the equipment itself or how he has utilized it all. Great to see you heading down to Tennessee and having a chance to sit down with him!
This basement gym was super achievable which makes it more relatable. And it’s the most lit up basement gym I’ve ever seen lol While I like seeing big ahh gyms too this seems more grounded, good shi!
Oh man. this time it's really annoying that you keep interrupting him. I could hardly bring myself to keep watching, man. Pay attention to that in the future.
good video coop keep up the awesome content i enjoy watching your channel. rich Froning gym look amazing i definitely took notes on what gym equipment i want in the future for my home gym and his trucks look amazing💪🔥🔥🔥
What could have been a great interview went south really quick. I was told by my dad, decades ago that you should use your mouth and ears in the ratio God gave them to you. Listen twice as much as you talk. Had Coop actually listened to the G.O.A.T., he might have learned something, making the experience actually fun for Rich and us watching. This was like watching a bad car accident that you just can't turn away from. Coop either needs to focus on people skills or stick to rating equipment where he has the stage completely to himself. Hardly, one of his better efforts. Hopefully, with all the comments, this will be a learning experience for him.
Hard to watch 🙈 Coop interrupting Rich excessively 🙉 When Rich Froning speaks people listen…unless it’s Coop from Garage Gym Review who tried to make this about him 🙊🤦♀️ Coop = please work on your communication and interview skills 🙄
This is a great tour! Like the cave setup and see this setup or similar setup becoming popular in the incoming years as products are becoming more modular and cables become more popular. Something GGR could do more videos on for sure
Rich Froning embodies masculinity almost perfectly. Strong but caring. God first, immediately followed by family, and then everyone else. A dad who is present when he is with his family. Great example for the rest of us.
What is with the rogue single bolt dumbbell shelves? They were also in Tia’s home gym but they aren’t on the website. Are these currently at a concept stage? Possible future storage option?
@5:38 That black, white US flag with one red stripe. What does it stand for? As a european, I have never seen it before. Same goes for the version with the blue stripe.
The black and white U.S. flag with a single red stripe is known as the "Thin Red Line" flag. It is a symbol of support and solidarity for firefighters and other emergency personnel who risk their lives to protect others. The red stripe represents the courage and sacrifice of these brave individuals. The version with a blue stripe is called the "Thin Blue Line" flag. This flag is a symbol of support for law enforcement officers. The blue stripe represents the role of law enforcement in maintaining order and protecting the community.
Coop (or anyone reading this comment), tell me how much is 11 gauge in millimeters? I have seen various conversion tables and calculators that give different values. Another question - how many millimeters is a 3x3 inch profile? Some manufacturers say it is 75 mm, others, such as Bells of Steel gives a description on their site, quote: true 3“ x 3”. 1 Inch = 25.4 mm, so 3 * 25.4 = 76.2 mm. Are the REP 5000 Power Racks or, for example, the ROGUE RML-490C model 75 mm or 76.2 mm (uprights)? Do companies give approximate or exact dimensions? There are different units of measurement in Europe. What are the actual dimensions: 11 gauge and 3x3 inches in millimeters?
The actual gauge thickness in mm depends on the material, e.g. mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, all have different thicknesses for the same gauge. Metal supermarkets site has easy to read conversion charts.
@@califoo Thanks for the reply, I noticed that too...I was expecting someone who has a power rack from REP or Rogue to simply measure what thickness the steel is on the profile (uprights or crossmembers). Unfortunately, there are no precise answers. For example, the company Vulcan Strength (Build Your Own Power Rack section) states that: 11-Gauge “3” x 3” = 75 mm x 75 mm x 3 mm. The company Bells of Steel (Hydra Power Rack) has a dimension of 76.2 mm and a thickness of 2.3 mm, also describing their product as 11-Gauge True “3” x 3”. Same description - different dimensions.
@Peter.Blacksmith you should be able to verify based on shipping weight. 3mm vs 2.3mm is 30% more , so the shipping weight should be heavier. I think you'd be better off with the 3mm thickness. As for 75mm vs 76.2mm I don't think it will matter too much. More important is the spacing of the holes and hole diameter, if you're planning on buying attachments.
Why was the dude interviewing Froning never listening, no follow up questions, talking over Froning and just bordering on being obnoxious showing how much he knows versus Froning? So annoying. It's as it the guy memorized questions and was just speaking from memory. Great video though of Froning's compound, terrible interview by the guy doing the interviewing.
The amount of times you interrupted Rich was super cringe to watch, seriously. Also, get the man’s name right next time 😵💫😵💫. It was so hard to watch. You’re lucky Rich was so patient with you. Do better next time
