thank you, mate, that was great. always love to find musicians that took time and care on a "lost song". I learn them when if they call me to, even knowing that they won't pay back the effort when it comes to hold an sweetcarolinish audience into the pub. i know it captivates you because you've chosen to be mimetic on the performance, you know and enjoy all the tricks well. (by the way. this is a compliment, absolutely not a critic, "mimesis" is actually my own method.). about the song... one of my fav genres is old folk ballads, in the line of Rising sun.. story telling, minor chords, hundreds of different verses coming in and out through the countries and centuries... they encapsulate how the popular music might be at the time of bards, and further. in Dylan's, i love how the chords umpredictably sway to the will of Dylan's timing and the bass struggles to be on time! such imperfectionism suits his narratives and enhances them, it's pure brand.
Wow, thanks for the thoughtful comments. Truly appreciate it. I was learning a new song everyday back then. I remember this being particularly difficult.
@@virgilkinsley thanks for your response, i've seen this was years ago, haha!! a new song each day, man..! to me it was also difficult as these songs include names of places, people and i'm spanish, it's not like pronouncing "yeah, i do, i love you, i do"... you must put double care on your accent when it's about storytelling. hope all those songs you learnt have given you reward these years, from any public or from your own heart, and wish you magic on the 7 notes and 6 strings!
Columbia records was angry at Dylan leaving the label. They took out takes and released it on the album titled Dylan in 1973. Critics panned it. It was seen as Dylan’s worse album until he struggled in the late 1980’s for an album or two. Nevertheless, an energetic cover by you.

In den 70zigern habe ich Lily of the west von Bob Dylan kennengelernt und geliebt. Auch Deine Version finde ich wirklich großartig.

Great song! And great cover. Where'd you find the harmonica tabs btw?
Wolvix thanks! No tabs, just listened and put it together.
Hey man, great cover. Is your harmonica in the key of C?
I think so
