The short answer is that you want them to all function equally to get the best response from the amp. Every tube draws a different amount of current and while slight mismatches are not noticeable, large mismatches can attribute to poor sound quality and uneven wear of the tubes.
I have 2 Sunn 300T's and on one of them the red green led doesn't light red when the amp is turned on. It will light green when i flip the stand by switch. The other 300t works just fine. What could be ny problem? YOU TUBE has nothing on this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
