So inspiring.what a beacon on light, a living embodiment of the path of mastery. He set the bar higher than it was before him and higher than anyone since.

Fantastic track Lou, thanks for the upload... He was/is a total inspirational player, he has had, and still, has a huge impact on how I play, how I wish to be even 1% of his playing ability, truely the greatest ever in my eyes.
@@ewi4000 amazing!!! I often love listening to more raw recordings of Brecker as I feel you get more of a feel of his sound and surroundings rather than just through an amazing mic….if that makes sense! Ha
There have been very few musicians who can play an unaccompanied improvisation that spans such a wide range of moods but stays a coherent story the whole time. Jacob Collier, by comparison, sounds like he's scribbling with crayons on the wall
sheer mastery of the instrument, genre, and composer.... it doesn't get any better than this
For me, this is the ultimate live version of Naima.
For you, not anyone else.
@@milton112 oh well, I'm still enjoying it 7 years later.
Thank you Louis and thank you Mike - RIP

And again I say, there is no one like him, in so many ways.

well that's rude and uncalled for
I wonder what Coltrane would have thought ???
He would have probably played one of Mike's tunes for him and then talked about reeds and mouthpieces, lol.
This is better than sex.
Yeah its sax
