Thank you Phil. You are an excellent teacher. Always informative. Thank you for sharing your expert knowledge. Cheryl from Sydney Australia
Your welcome Cheryl, I'm glad the videos are helpful.
Very useful and well explained
Glad it was helpful!
çok yararlı bilgiler.Teşekkür ederim.
Never heard about ,when you adding color must be the same value ! Great lesson as usual from you :)
Yes, if there isn't a value change then you can vary the color using the same value to create more interest.
I am a big fan of how you explain and demonstrate the importance of color changes - it really malkes any painting so much more interesting 🎵🩶💚🧡🩵🤎🎶🐸
Glad it was helpful. color changes do create more interest in a painting.
Beautiful job Phil. Love the control of your greens as that is a color that can tend to get away from novice painters.
They can be tricky. It helps to take your time and mix some subtle variations
Well done !
Thanks
Great info, thank you! Greens can definitely be tricky, and this was very helpful.

Thanks for this. Green is not my favourite colour yet I love landscapes so this is a great help.
Greens are difficult
This is a fantastic video. It's so helpful to see the three greens, and also all the subtle variations you get when mixing orange, rose, other colors, with the greens you've already made. The subtleties are very engaging!
Thanks Karen, glad the video was helpful
Beautiful! Great advice as always. Thank you.
your welcome dana
I loved when you came to the slight variations with different orange, red, and dioxatine purple - beautifull muted variations vibrating between warmer and cooler nuances - wonderfull
Thanks!
GREAT CLASS ! THANKS A LOT!
your welcome Henrique
You give us so much to think about and practice. This is really helpful stuff. Thank you, Phil!
My pleasure!
Excellent ❤❤❤
Thanks 😊
Thanks for the demo and great explanations of some key principles. The variations within the big value shapes is really helpful and the result is stunning.
You’re welcome, glad it was helpful.
Enjoyable experience from start to finish. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love this! It is so informative and I need to refer to it often. Why not just buy a tube of thalo yellow green by Grumbacker? You really need to mix this and have it in a tube..I love it!
the yellow green in a tube would work fine. The thalo blue and cad yellow is a bit different. i like it better
fantastic, greens landscapes are very hard
Yes landscape is hard.
you live in Georgia? I live in Georgia, too. Do you offer in person workshops, or do you teach classes locally?
Hi Jamie, I live in Gainesville, I haven't started teaching locally yet. I hope to get something going this fall. stay tuned.
@@philstarke.artist will do, so excited!
Spring is the worst sooo much yellow
It can be difficult
i think not.....
