DIY: How to replace & epoxy rotted wood on an old boat (PART 1)
In this video I show how I replace rotted wood on my old boat. I walk through the entire process of removing rotted plywood from the boat, removing teak wood trim, making a template for the new plywood, cutting and sanding new marine plywood, and epoxy coating the new plywood panels for the boat.
This is PART 1. Please remember to subscribe for Part 2, where I finish the epoxy, paint the wood, add piping trim, and install the panels back into the boat.
    Materials I used:
    3/4" Marine Plywood: amzn.to/2SSS3lx
West System Epoxy Resin, Hardener and Pump Kit: amzn.to/3uOPQ7G
    Paint Stir Sticks
    Plastic Mixing Cups
3" Foam Paint Rollers & Handle
    Paint Tray
    Rubber Gloves
    Mask

I did the same thing cutting out wood rot pieces on my boat. The clear vinyl works great outlining the hole. Then cut it out, and trace your cut lines on the new plywood for your jigsaw cuts. Fine tune edges to fit.

Thank you for the video! Also in the same process and this video really helped reaffirm my planning. You pretty much covered everything from A to Z with easy to understand directions and steps which helps with understanding the concept of each step. Labeling both hardware and the pieces you pull out is something I will be adopting into my own project. I have the bad habit of just pulling and setting aside only to spend more time trying to figure out what went where.
