The only thing that worries me about the new engine is that they made it specifically so it could run on low end specs too, my main worry is that by changing the engine they’ll tone down entity spawns or the amount of creatures in your playthrough to minimize the impact on lower end pcs, phones and consoles, Minecraft bedrock has a similar problem, it’s made for consoles and phones in mind, so they have wayyyy less spawns for all mobs compared to the pc Java counterpart, I don’t want to be running around in an empty dead world with no creatures at every turn all because they wanted to make a game for lower end devices.

they change the old engine with the new one but i think they must have the courage to release the game, whether for the first time in alpha or beta, in order to maintain the existence of their fans who have been waiting for years.

The developers, of course, don’t specify which platforms their game will support. These images are only for demonstration and visualization. Don’t focus on them.
It will be (according to the info we have so far, which keep in mind is not 100% concrete) on PC, macOS, Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
It's a very early picture that's just there to show that the engine is close to functioning. According to them, we will get pictures with quality similar to the old ones at the end of this year, and even higher quality at the beginning of the next year.

Nope, ECS, if done correctly, will only be faster than entity component framework they used on their old engine.

Nah they just changed to to c++ since it’s overall a faster language and easier to run on diffrent devices than there last client which was c#
