Great video! Love my 16 X 20 Auto Clam! Transfer Express should definitely include in these videos that the press comes with a warranty, replacement parts and 24/7 customer service. This is HUGE because the majority if not all, the “overseas” heat presses do not come with anything I mentioned. I think that right there would change anyone’s mind if price was an issue for them. Loyal Transfer Express and Hotronix customer here..lol
Thanks CE Print Shop! All of those are excellent benefits of the Hotronix Heat Presses (and especially the 16 x 20 Auto Clam!) We absolutely love ours too! For this video we didn't want to get too in depth about specifics or features of any presses- Just a brief overview of functionality- We just happened to use our favorite press to show them 😊
I just acquired this heat press and the struts that auto-lift the unit seam to be worn out. Where can I buy new struts and do you have any resources for replacing them? Thanks!
Absolutely! You can find replacement parts for all Hotronix Machines at hotronix.com. The gas springs for the 16 x 20 Hotronix Auto Clam (The press we use in this video) are available here, along with installation guides and videos: www.hotronix.com/hotronix-auto-clam-gas-spring-16x20-16x16
Great questions TECHNODRONE- For many Hotronix heat press models there is an emergency release button (on the top of the machine or on the control panel). For the auto open clamshell model shown here, the emergency release is turning the main power switch off on the right side of the machine, or the press can also be opened by pulling up on the handle.
@@transferexpress you can pull up on the handle to release it while the timer is going? I believe I tried that and couldn’t get it to release. Only way I can do a release while the timer is going and the press is locked is by shutting it off, like you stated.
Yep, Just enough pressure to counter the magnet there. I usually give it a bump with a fist that seems to do the trick- My preferred method of opening the auto clam haha

@@transferexpress That looks easy enough. Thanks for the response.
How long is the wait now if you buy a new one?
Depending on the specific press turn times can vary from next day shipping to 8-10 weeks.
Is there an emergency open for when you need to lift the top during the process besides turning the machine off?

@@transferexpress I see! You just have to pull up a little harder on it.

Auto open for sublimation? Any thoughts on that?
Auto Open works great for sublimation heat transfers!
@@transferexpress What about metal...I do a ton of license plates and small novelty signs. Thanks for responding!
@@Dtag1971 You bet! Anything thinner than an inch will fit under there!
