This is the roughest rock crawling I've ever seen an old original equipment willys ever do. You boys really banging those things down the trail. I grew up in one of those jeeps. My dad and all his brothers had their own willys jeeps. Every chance they could get to go keeping that's where the entire family spent their time. My dads is a 47. It was the first vehicle I ever drove also. I sure miss those days. Best days of my life. Great video and it sure brings back the memories.
Gota love those old school willys because they got it all started. I had a 1980 CJ7 in my early 20's. Now I have a 02 Tj wrangler it's a working progress!! Lol. It needs some dressing up & a little work. Have done some work to it but. It still stock beside's k5 blazer rim's an fog lite's on bumper. Never have took it extreme wheeling I have had. It offroad a hand full time's with it
Very nice. I live about 4 hours east of the hills. Nice to know that there are some truck trails out there. All I found last time i was out there were 4wheeler, side by side and dirt bike trails. Love seein some jeeps still goin strong on the trail
Amazing what can be done with no Gov regulations and interference just build it for what it needs to do! all the safety features and other nonsense the government is mandating in vehicles now just kills them! Doubt my JK will last 70 years LOL
That looks to be a really good size for those rigs. Looks like too much fun. I used to have a TJ I built up to be on one tons with 40s and a V8. It was too much... this is what i'm looking to get into now. Light and nimble.
Ever vid i see that beat up one with the gramps plate i hear a pretty bad rod knock. Im guessing hes aware of that and hes gonna wait till it blows haha
cb550rider I feel the same way. I have three others that are correct and numbers matching. BAM BAM is built from parts of jeeps long gone. No g503 was sacrificed in the build.
I thought that might be the case. I have several parts jeeps I want to build one very similar. I have a cj3a with pto winch and a very early 2a frame will a full float rear axle. Bought it for 200 from a High school kid that had no idea what is was. I want to put a synthetic rope on the pto winch a use it without risking my life and limb everytime.
boy Bam Bam' s starting to look a little thrashed and Grandpa's jeep well my thoughts are the only thing holding it together are rust spit bondo and Bazooka Joe bubble gum hey never under estimate the power of Bazooka Joe bubble gum well that and duc tape and bailing wire 😂😂😂 😆 C😎😎L
just saying...that guy drivin grandpa's jeep, just beats that jeep like an escaped convict..he needs to watch the bam bam driver,on how not to be so rough..
Grandpa’s Jeep does not have the low gearing and ground clearance that BAM BAM has. He has a disadvantage in big rocks but we have seen situations where his low CG gives him the advantage over me.
I converted it with will.spaser's.com an got a set them because I had a set of oldschool six lug really rim's with beyoute rings an sintorcap's that sees 4x4 on them it soot's my tj wrangler if U liked old school look! It has a set of 31x10.50R15 EXTREME MT MUD CLAWS their grate tire's

i could watch these willys bash through the rocks for hours on end!
The most iconic Jeeps in the world: Bam Bam and Grampa's! Best regards from Brazil!
You guy's made me spill my coffee on this one . Keep em comming .
Great video, love the Willys Jeeps.
This is the real off road video i have ever seen.... i love it
I am a Land Rover man but i do have a soft spot for 1940s jeeps , great vid and great to see them been used not just for show
I love the grooving on the NDT tires!

Amazing something designed and engineered in a month or two 70 years ago is still going strong .
Amazing what can be done with no Gov regulations and interference just build it for what it needs to do! all the safety features and other nonsense the government is mandating in vehicles now just kills them! Doubt my JK will last 70 years LOL
@@IslandAdventures no one wants to drive them on roads for long periods of time
Happy Singh - speak to yourself only, Baba. I do.
These are fun videos!
Fantastic off-road video ever seen.
We had even more fun than I remembered. Great vid!

Yotaoverland

I’m not exactly sure at the moment.

@@xmo552 This can be done when you have a full-floating rear axle.
Love my jeep 1951 !
23:10 that guy cracked me up lol
@ 5:54 awesome! These videos can be relaxing.
granpa doesn't drive over rocks. he beats them into submission.
My teeth were gritted through this whole video
Tremendo!!!

those jeep keep with the original engine?
Hi, what motor do you have there for that type of terrain? Thank you.
13:23
What type and size of tires is the pale green 2a running that makes its appearance towards the end of the video?
They are 34 x 9.5 x 15 Super Swampers SAM-14

@@jpetrowich If that's the case, they must be extremely modified (6:45-50).
Awesome video! Are these stock Jeeps? Why does it seems like they have diff lockers?
Those are some tuff bastards.... jeeps too.
nice!!!
@jpetrowich What kind of muffler are you running with your 4.3 ?
Awesome video, so refreshing to see these old Jeeps in their natural habitats. What tires are you running on your MB?
They are 750-16 military NDTs that I cut them with a hot knife.
My army jeeps a little newer but that trail looks great!
Stick welding still the best lol
this is the truck in folks' dream wish to see the reproduced ones again
the 20:25 mark !! that's pretty funny.
Espectaculares los jeep y los lugares
Did Gus get a new color?
TOMMYBACZ that’s not “Gus”. That is “Willy”. Usually that Jeep is sporting 33” BFGs
BamBam has new shoes!
Those tires are the same Firestone 750-16 NDTs I normally run, but I added some grooves with a hot knife.
Ever vid i see that beat up one with the gramps plate i hear a pretty bad rod knock. Im guessing hes aware of that and hes gonna wait till it blows haha
Keep in mind that that engine has solid valve lifters.
21:46 who's jeep and how can I contact. for seat info and setup :)
His TH-cam channel is "Jeepevans" You can contact him over there
Use to live 5 miles from this trail. You got any camp 5 footage?
The only other footage I have is of the same trail but a different section. th-cam.com/video/sBcUchRNnhQ/w-d-xo.html
did the tie rod break?
Yes, a tie rod broke on one jeep and a spring hanger broke on the other.
Rusty needs to take some notes
Tremendos vehículos no como orita q son desechables
What do you have for gears in Bam Bam???
Final crawl ratio is 107:1
I need a beater to do that .
😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍
Thay will shed the mud if you get thim spinning lol
Mixed emotions I love watching but I don't think I could trail ride a real MB or GPW
