First let me say that I always enjoy your videos and look forward to the next. Your mention of listening to music over the years struck a cord with me. I've been riding since 1976 and have had various bikes over the intervening years but not once have I ever considered listening to music as I ride. A big part of the fun of being on a bike for me is getting away from tv/ radio etc, away from annoying people and the simple joy of being alone on two wheels. I do carry a basic phone but it's in my pocket and will be ignored until I make a stop on my journey. My soundtrack is the engine noise, usually a louder than standard exhaust and nature. I know lots and lots of bikers play music so it must be me, a grumpy old git who just wants to be alone with his bike :) Keep up the good work mate.

Let's hope that they extend a reasonable offer to you and that you'll be able to source another bike suitable for these wonderful back roads.
I've ridden those beautiful roads so many times Dave. You must ride the B5053 from Bottomhouse north off the A523 through Longnor and by Earl Sterndale. There are some great views as well as steep hills and hairpins. It's been used on the Tour of Britain cycle road race. I usually go through Millers Dale, Tideswell, Great Hucklow (looking out for gliders off the hillside) and take the little road that runs alongside Derwent Reservoir. If you go beyond the visitors centre there's a bench to stop for lunch which looks towards the Howden dam. You can almost imagine a Lancaster flying down the valley. Glad to hear that Ivy has been written off. If you get another 350 why not call her "Holly"; after all it is approaching Christmas.
What a relaxing video to watch. I’m repeating what others have said but I love your laid back gentle approach to riding. It gives you so much time to appreciate what’s in front of you and immerse yourself in the stunning landscape we live in. @@thatblokeonamotorbike well at least you’re getting some forward action and hopefully a new bike , I don’t know what to suggest to make your replacement bike safe from thieves. Perhaps a tracker is an idea and more alarm system that will make a loud noise. I don’t have a garage but am thinking of buying one of those metal bike sheds , there are lots to choose from. I hope you have another bike soon and can start to enjoy your rides again 👍

The weather is now turning cold. I've been over in the Peak District today riding around Hollinsclough and a lunchtime stop at the Old Smithy( well, I needed a warm-up!!)
